ActiveCampaign and Keap are two prominent players in the digital marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) space. They offer solutions tailored for small to medium-sized businesses, but there are notable differences in their features and functionalities.

ActiveCampaign is primarily known for its advanced email marketing and automation capabilities. It allows users to create complex, automated marketing workflows that can be triggered by various user actions and behaviors. This makes it an excellent tool for businesses focusing on nurturing leads and personalizing their marketing messages. ActiveCampaign also includes CRM features, but they are more complementary to its email marketing strengths rather than the core focus.

Keap, on the other hand, is more CRM-focused. It provides robust client management tools, allowing businesses to track interactions, manage leads, and automate sales processes effectively. Keap integrates these CRM capabilities with its email marketing...

Exceptional Customer Support Enhances Keap Software Experience

Nearly a Year with Keap: A Landscaping Company's Experience

I've found Keap to be a great tool for my small landscaping company, offering improved marketing management, new automations, and better lead capturing and appointment management. I commend their customer service, which is vital for us. I appreciate having contact and lead management, group texting, email marketing, and automations all in one affordable software. While other software may offer strong services, they often fall short in other areas and try to compensate by stacking software, which can be time-consuming and more expensive than anticipated. Keap, on the other hand, covers many areas with one in-house software system. They do have some weaknesses, but overall, they have a good system that could be further developed. My main issues with Keap are the lack of a menu option for the business phone line, which is problematic if more than one person is answering or making calls, and sending messages. I would also like more flexibility with Zapier integrations.

      Infusionsoft: A Disappointing Downfall

As a customer for over 7 years, I regret to say that I can no longer endorse Infusionsoft, now known as Keap. I was once a strong advocate, even attending Infusioncon in Phoenix, but the software now has numerous unresolved bugs and issues. A significant problem is that all our emails to Yahoo and Telus are bouncing, an issue Keap is aware of and has been attempting to fix for over a month. This results in our emails being delivered inconsistently. For Canadians, all Rogers emails will bounce. Additionally, Keap's customer service lacks knowledge. The representatives seem to have limited understanding and often need to consult others for answers. If you speak to a different representative, you're likely to receive a different response. There are also many bugs, such as the contact field merging not functioning. Their solution was to simply omit the customer's name in the email.

Effortless and Trustworthy Marketing Automation with Keap

      Antiquated CRM, Requires Fresh Features

In my experience, Keap has its pros and cons. I appreciated the user-friendly dashboard, simplicity, and advanced automation features. However, I found their customer service to be average. Keap lacks many important features for businesses, such as the ability to add more than one email address as a sender, send WhatsApp messages, and integrate with many apps like LinkedIn. Also, only US customers can get phone numbers. From a marketing perspective, they need to add more features to help businesses reach their leads. Overall, I feel Keap is outdated and needs to improve by looking at what other CRM systems are doing to satisfy their customers.

Keap Didn't Make the Cut for Us

I was okay with moving on from using Keap. It was a bit cumbersome, but not terrible. I believed that simple changes could have significantly improved its usability, but these were never made. I chose Keap because a marketing firm we were working with required it. Sadly, Keap wasn't a good fit for my business. The vendor responded to my feedback, expressing regret that the software didn't meet my needs and wished me well for my future projects.

      KEAP Excellently Manages Client Information

Keap is my go-to tool for managing customer relationships. It not only stores marketing and sales data but also detailed customer account information like plans, employees, invoices, subscriptions, and more. The reporting methods are highly customizable with various custom fields that can be saved and reused. While some reports could use more features, the overall feature set is adequate. A challenge I face is tracking changes made to different types of documents, as it's not always clear who made a change in Keap. Despite this, Keap has significantly reduced the time and effort I spend on follow-up tasks and new customer onboarding. I'm thrilled that automation will enable us to offer superior service to our clients without increasing our workload. I'm grateful for the vendor's responsiveness and their openness to considering my feedback about tracking user actions.

Excellent Customer Support, 2-Month Refund Policy.

Even though I cancelled my membership, Keap continued to bill me for 2 months. I was frustrated and after reading reviews that some people never get reimbursed, I was worried. However, I sent an email and within a week, I received my money back. I wanted to express my gratitude and counter the recent negative reviews on this issue. Over the past 2 years, their customer service has always been responsive. I would recommend Keap if you're looking for the Rolls Royce of email marketing.

Keap: A Game-Changer for Efficient Task Management

I've been using Keap for a while and I'm impressed with its task and appointment management features. It provides a simple method for staying organized and managing time efficiently. The platform has streamlined my workflow and kept everything on track. I have no complaints as it's reasonably priced and very useful. I'm glad the vendor appreciates my feedback and agrees that Keap is a straightforward way to stay organized and manage time efficiently.

Been using Keap for years and got BURNED!

I've been using Keap for years and it's been very helpful. However, I've noticed they continue to bill for additional users even after they've been removed. To remove a user, you need to go into billing and submit a request. I estimate I've lost around $5K over the years due to this issue, which I've only recently discovered.

      Keap Boasts Great Features BUT

Keap had some great features, but they often didn't work. The frequent updates were confusing and time-consuming to learn. We had to hire a trainer, which added to the cost. The process would often change, requiring us to spend more time figuring it out. Compared to other similar companies, Keap was incredibly expensive and not worth the high cost due to the constant changes and system bugs.

It's impressive how they stand by their partners, reflecting their loyalty and trust. I would highly recommend using Keap!

Years of Successful Business with Keap

I have been doing business with Keap for years and have invested a significant amount of money into their services. However, 2 days ago, I noticed that client information started disappearing from our database. When I contacted them, they were unable to explain why this was happening and informed me that they only keep logs for up to two weeks. Despite their high charges, they fail to provide quality service. They also falsely represent their reviews on and Google. This has led me to question their trustworthiness.

Top-tier Marketing Automation Solution for Small Enterprises

I find Keap to be a highly effective and powerful tool when used correctly. I utilize it for managing contacts, sending promotional emails, marketing automation, and e-commerce. As I mastered its features like tag naming conventions, Goals, and Campaign links, it became easier to use and is now one of my favorite marketing automation software. I value several features of Keap, such as the ability to use tags for organizing contacts, its excellent marketing automation capabilities, and the option to integrate third-party tools like Deadline Funnel and PlusThis. These features aid in personalizing campaigns and boosting conversions. I also find the Dynamic Content feature beneficial for enhancing automation campaigns. However, I do find Keap to be somewhat pricey. In terms of transitioning to Keap, it wasn't exactly a switch from Aweber. When I joined the organization, both Aweber and Keap were being used - Aweber for sending emails to paid members, and Keap for other functions.

Exemplary Customer Service Experience with Keap

I'm genuinely amazed at the level of engagement I've experienced with Keap. Even before I officially signed up for their service, they were already reaching out to me with emails and letters, showing their dedication to customer service. After some confusion about my account status, I was impressed by their prompt response and willingness to rectify the situation. They assured me that all my payments would be cancelled since my account was never used, and they even sent me an email confirmation of this. What really took me by surprise was their commitment to resolving the issue - they even involved their legal team to ensure everything was handled correctly. This level of dedication to customer satisfaction is rare and truly commendable. I find this service incredibly reliable and would highly recommend others to experience their proactive and thorough customer service.
