      I find SugarCRM to be a mediocre platform with significant drawbacks that I only discovered after I started using it. I planned to use it alongside Sage, our primary platform, to streamline our team's work. However, Sugar often fails to write to Sage, necessitating manual data entry. The platform is also slow and cumbersome, frequently refreshing and erasing progress while I'm working. Creating dashboards and reports is complicated and time-consuming.Despite these problems, Sugar Support often dismisses them as bugs without a clear resolution timeline. The user interface is decent and the processes are intuitive, but the customer service is terrible. We had problems with our licenses and when we upgraded, Sugar deactivated all our other licenses halfway through our annual contract. It took half a day to restore our access and the follow-up from customer service was poor.I chose SugarCRM for its price and user interface, but I'm extremely disappointed with my purchase. If I could do it again, I'd spend more.

      Overall, I found SugarCRM to be an excellent fit, especially for marketing and advertising agencies looking to create custom flows. I found the customer care team to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and I enjoyed working with them. The SugarCRM team was supportive during our decision-making process between various CRMs, including Salesforce and SugarCRM. They were flexible, accommodating, and provided excellent customer service, even offering to develop new APIs to integrate with our proprietary billing system. I appreciated the visuals of SugarCRM, which were not overwhelming like Salesforce can be, and seemed more geared towards marketing service teams. The dashboard visuals were superior to Salesforce, and the price point was also better. However, SugarCRM wasn't a great fit for other teams within our organization, such as those dealing with one-time products like printing. Although the workflows were cleaner and more intuitive than Salesforce, it was challenging to incorporate processes involving external teams. Ultimately, we chose Salesforce over SugarCRM because we needed to incorporate other areas of the business already using Salesforce.

      As a user of SugarCRM, I value its unique open-source CRM application with flexible deployment options. However, I feel there's a need for stricter discipline regarding release schedules, code changes, and system recommendation documentation, which I find lacking at the moment. While the stock code base is solid, customizations often result in caching issues. Some parts of the app have outdated layouts, which can be confusing and unreliable. I also wish the support team was more proactive in resolving cases, rather than just posting a note and waiting. I suggest a server-side integration with Outlook, as our company uses both Mac and PC, and email archiving is inconsistent. Despite these issues, I find the Studio tool excellent when it functions correctly, allowing us to create without needing developers. I appreciate the vendor's response and their recommendation to consider Riva for server-side email. I'm looking forward to the release of server-side.

      Before purchasing GoldMine, I had a detailed discussion with our local representative about our requirements, expectations, and concerns. I was thrilled to hear that all our needs would be met, and the proposal included the cost to purchase the software, hours to get us up and running, training, and more. As a small business, we were eager to start using this new tool. Now, two years later, we've invested in additional support and are still on the journey to going live with GoldMine. There's been a learning curve, but it's clear that there's a difference between the sales pitch and the reality of implementing the software. I've heard well that was the sales answer to your question a few times, which has been a learning experience in itself. I'm writing this review not to criticize GoldMine, but to share our journey. I believe that once we get it off the ground, it will serve its purpose well. I'm looking forward to the day when GoldMine gets us up and running, and I can't wait to write a follow-up review about how much we love using the software itself.
