However, it can be a bit complicated to use if you're also utilizing other tools that perform similar functions. I chose Outreach for its features and reputation. I switched from ToutApp, which was basically a mass email tool that turned our SDRs into spammers.

      My Account Executive at Outreach did a good job, but the rest of the experience didn't meet my expectations. The software is visually appealing and less expensive than some competitors, but it's still pricey. I spent a year trying to resolve issues with my signature images not being sent, but despite numerous attempts and suggestions from their support team, I had no success. I was constantly told that this issue was unique to my business and not a problem for other clients using Outreach with Outlook. However, when I switched to another company that also uses Outreach, I faced the same problem. This made me question the company's integrity. The editing tool for templates and snippets is outdated and hard to use, with problems in spacing, character size, and overall formatting. I chose Outreach because of its cost and because MixMax didn't integrate with Outlook.

While it works well for our SDRs, it would be difficult for our marketing and account executives to use the tool at the same time. I chose Outreach for its ease of use and increased security in mass emailing cadences. I switched to Outreach because it provides a more personalized approach.

      I've had a fantastic experience with Outreach due to its user-friendly interface and functionality. I'm particularly fond of the snippets and personalization features. We used to use Groove, but Outreach is a significant upgrade. It's incredibly easy to set up sequences with personalization, link content from Highspot or direct URL, and create snippets for inserting different images or content features. I can establish sequences for sales to support marketing programs and design messages and content used. I can also examine reporting metrics within the sequence to see who is using it, how many contacts are active/pending/paused, and make inferences about the effectiveness of the messaging. I only create sequences for sales rather than actually sending them, but there was some confusion on how to add contacts or to activate them in one sequence over another. We use contact list views in Salesforce to add contacts, which seems to work but I'm not sure if there's a less manual way to do this, like linking to a campaign.

They suggested that the configurations might not be set up correctly, which led me to explore and learn more about the system's setup. Their response, it's not set up correctly that's why it's not syncing, was a challenge that pushed me to understand the system better. It was a stimulating experience. However, I also had the chance to explore Salesforce High Velocity, which was equally impressive. Overall, my experience with Outreach was a journey of discovery and learning. I've explored other options but always come back to Outreach because it provides a comprehensive solution. It makes outbound sales highly scalable and manageable. It's not a marketing software repurposed for sales, but a tool specifically designed for sales organizations, which is clear in its feature implementation. Outreach excels in feature innovation and provides the best outbound email settings for automation. I can insert 1000 prospects into a sequence, limit it to send 100 per day, set it to resume out-of-office replies after a few days, and then let it run. All I have to do is establish a schedule and exclude national holidays. Their task management is also superior. I often include a task as a step in a sequence, like connecting with someone on LinkedIn. When a prospect reaches that point, it generates a task in the system. This can occur hundreds of times, but I speak in the first person.
