If you're contemplating a more expensive option with comprehensive features and potential power, InfusionSoft may be a better fit. However, if you choose to use InfusionSoft or Ontraport, you or a team member should possess technical skills and patience for troubleshooting. Ontraport is essentially a 'full stack' tool, enabling the creation of marketing web pages and forms that directly link to your CRM, email, and marketing automation tools. It has the potential to be powerful, combining what would typically require multiple tools into one. However, I found it complex to use. It was honestly simpler for me to manage several different tools and connect them via Zapier, API, or other integrations. I faced numerous frustrating issues with Ontraport, which ultimately led me to switch away from it.

However, I've noticed that while Ontraport offers a lot, it doesn't excel in any particular area. Each solution it provides seems to have a significant downside. The increasing costs, along with the software's failure to fully meet my needs, prompted me to leave Ontraport. For example, while it's handy to manage permissions for WordPress pages, it becomes extremely tedious to revoke access when dealing with a large amount of content. Managing subscriptions can be tricky if a customer has multiple products, and running email campaigns was challenging. If you're a small business that knows precisely what you need and the software to manage it, I would recommend that solution instead. I appreciate the vendor's response and their readiness to learn more about my needs for potential feature updates. I understand their goal to bring essential business functionalities under one roof and I value their receptiveness to feedback.

      I find Ontraport to be an excellent and ever-improving platform. Its automation features are impressive, enabling me to automate many tasks and triggers within a single campaign. However, it doesn't integrate well with many other platforms and its tracking and dashboard features aren't as good as Keap's.       Buggy, Time-Consuming System with Steep Learning Curve

      So far, my experience with Ontraport has been disappointing. Despite their excellent customer support, I've been dealing with persistent technical issues. Specifically, the automation feature isn't functioning properly, even after following all instructions and having support verify everything. I've created a landing page with the correct optin form and arranged the campaign email messages, but the campaign doesn't activate when I optin with an email address. Moreover, the page building tool is occasionally clunky and freezes, requiring me to refresh the page before I can proceed with setting up and constructing my landing or sales pages. The process for setting up an automation is also complex, with numerous small steps that can be overwhelming if you're not technically savvy. Additionally, I find Ontraport to be costly for what it provides and not very user-friendly. It's been extremely time-consuming to launch even the first campaign. Two months have passed and I'm still struggling.
