Poor Experience with Billing Team at Leadpages
I had a poor experience with Leadpages' billing department. I requested a refund as I found out that I had to pay to use the platform and even attempt to create pages or a site. However, by the time I realized the platform wasn't suitable for me, they refused to issue a refund. Despite communicating with the billing department and escalating the issue, they wouldn't refund me, even though I never really used the platform. I consider this to be bad practice. In their response to my complaint, they essentially dismissed me and referred me to their terms of service. I'm disappointed that they didn't make an exception to ensure customer satisfaction, which I believe is not how businesses should operate nowadays.

I am currently working on several new projects and needed a simple and efficient way to gather leads and direct traffic to a specific page that can be easily managed and updated by anyone on my team. Leadpages is user-friendly and intuitive, enabling me to create a page in just a few minutes and modify it as required. However, it consumes a lot of RAM, which can slow down my MacBook Pro. I can't envision how it would perform on slower Macs. It would be beneficial if there was a Mac app that permitted offline modifications. I switched to Leadpages because it's simpler to use and less bulky, doing exactly what I need it to do.

I find it quite easy to build pages with Leadpages, with a minimal learning curve. However, I'm disappointed that they ceased support for meta refreshes without any notification and refuse to rectify this, claiming it's a feature. I also feel their customer service lacks a personal touch, as they only provide scripted responses. When I complained, Leadpages explained that they offer a redirection option in the publishing settings. They discourage the use of {META refresh} code as it's not approved by W3C and has been misused by users, tarnishing the reputation of Leadpages' publishing domains. They've seen cases where this meta tag was used to install malware or redirect visitors to phishing sites, so they've prohibited its use for safety reasons. They recommend using a "Click to Continue" CTA button, a more detailed Thank You Page, or a 1-minute countdown timer to redirect to the next page.
