Fast to Enroll You and Secure Your Payment
I subscribed to Freshbooks with a 6-month offer where I was supposed to get a reduced rate for 6 months (£6 instead of £22). However, after about 2 months, I was charged the full rate. When I tried to cancel my subscription by emailing Freshbooks (since you can't do it yourself, you have to contact Customer Support), I was given the same reasons to stay with them. I'm still waiting for action despite emailing them multiple times. There are much cheaper accounting software options available elsewhere.

Excellent Software, Disappointing Customer Support
I find the Freshbooks platform user-friendly and customizable, fitting my creative mindset more than an accounting one. However, the only way to get significant help with my account is through a live account manager, who is basically a salesperson. Despite their advice to lower my subscription level after my discounted trial period, my representative hasn't responded in 2 weeks. The inability to independently make changes to my account or with another customer service representative is a problem. Because of this communication gap, I was charged double the amount I should have been.

Simply Not a Fit for Our Needs
I like the look and ease of use of Freshbooks, but it didn't meet our business requirements. We often work with CPAs and vendors, manage invoices and bookkeeping, and found it hard to integrate Freshbooks with our other business systems. It didn't have as many features as Quickbooks, and our clients and CPAs found it hard to use, making it seem more complex than other simpler options. We switched to Freshbooks thinking it would be easier, but it wasn't. I've given my feedback about its integration problems to the Freshbooks team and hope to see improvements in the future.

While I don't currently need these additional services, it's good to know what's available for future reference. I've also noticed a link to cancel my subscription at the bottom of the page, which is handy to know. It does mention that I need to call during office hours to cancel, which can be a bit challenging due to the time difference, but it's reassuring to know that there's a human at the other end of the line to assist me. I've had a few instances where I've had to email them instead, and they've always been responsive. It's been a bit of a learning curve since July 222, but I'm getting the hang of it. I appreciate that they're asking for my input to improve their services. Overall, I feel like Freshbooks is a company that's invested in my business growth and is always looking for ways to improve their services. I'm not familiar with Canadian law, but I'm considering recommending Freshbooks to my network because of the value it provides. I've already emailed them my details and I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue to evolve.
