      Wishing for Better with Tripleseat

      I wouldn't recommend Tripleseat if you're a large company or if you conduct business at off-site venues. Our clients love the professional look of Gather and often compliment its ease of use. However, there are numerous issues. As an off-site catering company, we find that Tripleseat is more suited for in-house, on-site dining. They knew this when they sold us the program and should have realized it wasn't suitable for us. The most significant issue was that our invoices weren't adding up correctly, which could have cost us thousands of dollars if we hadn't manually checked them. There's no place for clients to confirm their contact information, which is inefficient when booking a high volume of events. The zip codes for our clients default to ours, so we have to manually input the correct zip code on every BEO to ensure our delivery drivers don't get lost. Despite several discussions, no one has been able to correct this issue. There's also no way to enlarge the font, making it difficult.

      I find Gather extremely beneficial for my guests, my team, and myself. Its real-time updating feature is fantastic and my guests love the confetti that appears when they approve BEOs on Gather. My only issue with Gather is the occasional glitches with product updates, but these are always resolved quickly and the customer service is excellent. I also can't save delivery locations with notes and have to export items to excel to generate reports. I miss having a 'product mix' report of menu items.       I find Tripleseat to be quite basic and easy to learn, but not very user-friendly. As an event organizer, it's inconvenient to have to remove a space from all other customer inquiries to put it on hold. Email attachments often don't appear for customers and they struggle to navigate the discussion trails. Creating specific and multiple invoices for certain amounts is also challenging. There are pre-authorization links everywhere that, according to our account manager, can't be removed, causing customers to have to use a link twice.

I manage sales for a restaurant collection with four properties and find this software incredibly user-friendly and easy to navigate. It has significantly expedited our response time to inquiries, leading to a substantial increase in sales and customer service. The ability to run the contract, function sheet, and invoice from a master document is a game-changer - it means updating just one document to get all these files. It's super quick, super easy, and reduces admin work. If you're still using Word and Excel for your document templates, I assure you, you won't regret switching to Tripleseat. And if you're using other well-known platforms, I highly recommend trying this system for its numerous benefits. Plus, the Tripleseat team and support teams are incredibly friendly and quick to respond.
