On the Right Track and Loving It Already
I find Stackby very easy to set up and use, with a minimal learning curve. This makes it less daunting for less technical individuals compared to other software like Excel or Access. I value the form view that allows for the addition of new rows with no technical effort. The software provides a wide range of customizable templates. I also appreciate the capability to create and save customized filtered views of data. The layout is more readable compared to spreadsheet software like Sheets. I can expand and view rows of data sequentially like a CRM where I can input reminders, checklists, notes, and internal conversations. However, transferring data between tables can be slightly frustrating, but I understand that this issue is being addressed. I switched to Stackby because it provides better data visibility, the ability to view data in multiple layouts, ease of use, superior sharing options, and a much lower technical knowledge user threshold. The vendor responded to my review, expressing appreciation for my feedback and assuring me of future improvements.

What I appreciate most about Stackby is its extensive database of templates. I'm still learning to utilize it fully, but it's already solving many of my data organization issues, saving me a lot of time. While Google sheets are useful, they lack when it comes to integrating data from third parties. With Stackby, I can effortlessly update prospect data in a spreadsheet using third-party APIs, without any programming skills. It feels like magic. The ability to create ad hoc solutions for my company is why I chose Stackby.

I've found Stackby to be incredibly responsive, helpful, and effective. They've nailed the customer experience, making everything else fall into place. The tool is versatile, allowing me to organize data, create systems, and keep track of sales, marketing, and business assets. The new Zapier (Beta) integration also opens up possibilities for data transfer within my technology ecosystem. I've started using Stackby as a Digital Asset Management System and a Deal Management System for financial transactions. I was pleasantly surprised to find relevant templates for my industry, the PE/VC space, already available. The templates seem well thought out and tailored to the needs of their respective industries. However, it's not all perfect. There are a few functional aspects that need improvement. But the good news is that the company is quick to respond and work on these issues. I switched to Stackby from Airtable, a product I've been a power user of for a long time. The interplay between columns and stacks makes Stackby an excellent hybrid tool. Initially, I intended to use it to replace our current budget in Google Sheets, but I had difficulty making the cells work with the same formulas we use for calculations like percentages. It was somewhat clunky, and the only place we could get totals was at the bottom of the stack, which didn't translate well into a readable working budget. However, I chose Stackby because it's an invaluable tool. I've used Airtable and Infinity, but for the value and commitment to dynamically adapting their toolset, Stackby has been crucial for tracking our growing list of clients and their onboarding process. Their templates are great starters and the support is quick and efficient. There are still some growing pains, but the utility of this software far outshines them. The vendor responded to my review, offering to help me create a budget tracker in Stackby and directing me to a template. They also provided their support chat.

Beware of this Company: A Fraudulent, Poor Imitation Software.
I had a negative experience with Stackby, which I found to be an expensive and inferior version of Airtable. I used it for a few days but requested a refund due to frequent service disruptions. I had to cancel my account via email because the platform wouldn't allow me to delete my account, presumably to continue charging me. Overall, it was a very bad experience.

Initially, I didn't think I needed Stackby. However, it has grown into a robust tool suitable for all types of businesses. As a company with a bit of creativity, I've been able to create my own ERP and maintain full control over my organization, even performing advanced calculations. I absolutely adore Stackby. It has become a daily tool for me, much like Excel used to be. It's fantastic. There were some issues with Firefox in the past, but I've since adapted to using it with Chrome. There were some stability issues, but they're virtually unnoticeable now. Overall, I really like it. I do wish I could cross-reference data from other tables and have a phase view. I chose Stackby after evaluating several options. I appreciated that they translated it into my language, Spanish. I initially discovered them through a good deal, but they've gradually won me over. I plan to continue using them.

As long as it doesn't delete my files, I'll be satisfied with this product. Initially, when there weren't many records, I didn't encounter any problems. However, as the number of records grew, I started facing issues more frequently. The product seems immature with many bugs and downtimes. I hope they will enhance it in the future. I've experimented with various similar software, but none have fully satisfied me. They've all lacked in certain areas, be it user interface, database referencing, integrations, or features like powerups. Despite trying other database software, I always find myself returning halfway to Stackby, which speaks volumes about its utility. It's fast, easy to comprehend, keyboard-friendly, and has all the integrations I require. However, I'm frustrated by the limit on the number of tables and rows per table, which often prompts me to try other software first to avoid reaching this limit and having to delete a table.
