      Hidden Costs, No Cancellation Option, Misleading Pricing on Dialpad

      I believe DialPad is a scam. They unexpectedly charged numerous hidden fees to my credit card and their website contains undisclosed fees not mentioned in their "All Features" pricing page. I was unable to cancel without speaking to a representative, who were consistently unavailable. Their trial period isn't free and they offer no refunds. I was required to pay in advance to port my number to them, and this payment was non-refundable. Their voice transcription was subpar and the transcripts were mostly nonsensical. The desktop app didn't allow me to end calls and the feature to send voicemail transcripts to a different email didn't function. They only ported voice calls from my previous provider, not text messages. Despite their website appearing professional, their actual product and service were dreadful. The only functioning features were incoming and outbound phone calls, and I was able to customize my caller ID for outbound calls. Their website pricing was misleading with numerous hidden fees. I cancelled within the 14-day trial period.

They've championed the use of softphones from the beginning, reducing the popularity of deskphones. They've also integrated messaging into the app effectively and offer all their features at a single price, without charging extra for upgrades. The app is updated at least weekly with enhancements or new features. However, the interface could be improved, as it's hard to tell when new text messages come in and there's no efficient way to filter, sort, or search. This also applies to voicemails. The internal contact directory is handy, but it doesn't allow for management in terms of merging duplicates or bulk editing. I have no intention of switching providers anytime soon.

      I've been using Dialpad for nearly two years and have been in the contact center industry for over 2 years. I've used a variety of products, from Cisco to Noble, but I truly love the Dialpad platform. It's incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. Moreover, Dialpad has the best support team, hands down. Francis Balmores was particularly outstanding. He was patient, knowledgeable, and quick when I needed to find a new number and set up recordings. He made sure I had the support I needed by really understanding what I was trying to achieve. He even took the time to share screen shots to assist me. It was a wonderful experience and he should be praised for his excellent work. The product is great and the support is five-star!
