Steer Clear of Zoho Projects!
I find Zoho Projects to be quite disappointing. There's hardly anything about this product that I appreciate. If I had to pick, I'd say the calendar and forum features are somewhat appealing, but they don't compensate for the overall lack of features. We are a small to medium business that recently switched from Harvest to Zoho, a decision we now regret. There's a significant price difference between the two platforms, but with Zoho, you get what you pay for. Zoho Projects feels more like a beta test platform than a product ready for business use. It might be suitable for very basic project management, like planning a wedding or a home renovation, but there are free templates online that can do the same job. The only other positive I can mention is their support. They have a responsive chat feature, but most of the time it was used to tell me that a feature I needed was not available. It doesn't integrate with Quickbooks, which is a major drawback for me.

I am considering Zoho Projects as a tool to interface with our Critical Chain Project Management product, mainly for FullKit Management. I also anticipate it to interface with Work Order and Inventory Management, and I am looking into Zoho Creator for these areas. It seems feasible. I am interested in a potential partnership with Zoho to develop a product in the Agile Critical Chain Project Management space. I find Zoho Projects highly customizable, with a plethora of custom fields, task automation, and the ability to define new layouts. This is a key feature I was seeking. I haven't found any other tool as good as Zoho Projects in this regard. However, I noticed that it lacks a remaining duration/effort column and logic for handling effort-based and units/resource-based scheduling.
