It's easy to embed various links like payment buttons and images, and you can customize colors, add text, titles, and themes. Anyone with a creative eye should be able to navigate this site with ease. However, I'm annoyed by the "powered by Weebly" watermark that appears on every page, which makes it obvious that the site is hosted by Weebly. Also, the limited number of starting themes means it's up to you to make your site unique. I chose Weebly because it was cost-effective and I initially just wanted to give it a try, but I ended up being pleased with how my website turned out.

Superior Alternatives Exist
I've found that Weebly's customer support takes a long time to respond, sometimes up to a week, and their responses often feel impersonal and unhelpful. After Weebly updated their system, a third-party customization to our site theme made our checkout page unusable. It took over a week and two attempts to get a response from Weebly, only to be told they couldn't help due to our custom theme. The third-party ended up fixing the issue. The only reason I haven't switched to another e-commerce hosting company is because of the time it would take to set up our products on a new platform. When I have the time, I plan to move to a better platform. I initially chose Weebly because of the cost and what seemed to be prompt customer support. However, after importing our item list, I found the back-end to be cumbersome and difficult to navigate. Many standard features are lacking and they don't seem to be in a hurry to implement anything for their clients.

Square's Management Breaks Weebly's Store and Shipping
I've been a fan of Weebly's simplicity since 215, but the increasing glitches with the SquareUp integration in 223 have been frustrating. I run a business with a high volume of orders and the process of purchasing shipping labels, especially in batches, has become difficult. Previously, label buying was integrated with GoShippo and their tech support was helpful. Now, Square's tech support is barely comprehensible and getting issues resolved seems impossible. I find myself repeatedly reporting the same problems and sending the same screenshots. I'm losing faith in the platform and considering a switch. The time I spend creating shipping labels has increased from 2 minutes to 2 hours and I don't see it improving. Furthermore, military personnel can no longer order from my store due to issues with shipping to APO addresses. To make matters worse, an attempt to fix an unknown problem resulted in my site not charging shipping fees overnight, costing me several hundred dollars. Now, the issues are not just consuming my time, but also directly costing me money. It's madness.

Delayed Response to Critical Issues
I reached out to Weebly on April 6th regarding a reseller's account. After weeks of no response, ignored emails, and back-and-forth with their Twitter account, they finally replied with a single sentence: The reseller program is full. It took them nearly a month to provide this simple response, which was a huge waste of time. I wouldn't recommend expecting quick responses from them if your issue is urgent.

I'm struggling with Weebly. My portfolio site looks awful with fuzzy images and changes not saving properly. It's unpredictable how the site will appear on mobile or web once published. Since Square's acquisition of Weebly, things haven't improved. I'm being forced to sign up with Square to edit my website, despite not selling anything. I'm considering switching to another web host or site builder.

Billing £ for an account I never
I am being charged for an account that I no longer have. Attempting to cancel or close the account with Weebly is nearly impossible as my account now redirects to Square, who has taken over Weebly, and they cannot find my details. My dispute with my bank has also been rejected by them.

Great Builder, Poor Support
I find Weebly to be a good product with a great builder that I haven't found a match for. However, their support is terrible. Since they were bought by Square in 218, their customer service has been poor. I had a problem with inviting members to edit my website, but they never received an invitation from Weebly. Despite contacting Weebly multiple times, I only received automated responses and empty promises of follow-ups. While I haven't found a suitable alternative to Weebly, the occasional bugs and the lack of support are major drawbacks.

I'm currently subscribed to Weebly's monthly plan, which is reasonably priced and provides everything I require, including domain transfer, straightforward online shopping setup, and store customization. I was able to effortlessly link my Weebly shop with my Square payments account, which offers low processing fees and immediate deposits & transfers. This Weebly and Square combination has streamlined purchasing, shipping, bookkeeping, invoicing, etc. I did encounter some issues when initially linking my domain, but that was due to my own mistake. I opted for Weebly because it directly integrates with Square payments, a significant advantage for me as I'm a dedicated Square customer.

I had an interesting experience with Weebly recently. Initially, there was a bit of a mix-up with my hosting company, but after a few days and several case numbers, I discovered that Weebly doesn't support VPS name servers or custom name servers. This was a revelation for me! It's great to know that they have a specific system in place. So, if you're not planning on using custom name servers, this is the perfect place to park your domain. Plus, there's no need to keep track of your case numbers, their tech support is so efficient, they don't even need them to assist you!
