It provides all the necessary features for academic research and has flexible plans, which is especially useful for students and individual academic researchers like me. The software is very user-friendly and lends a professional appearance to the surveys. I didn't face any problems, except for initially not understanding how the program categorized complete and incomplete surveys. However, after reaching out, I got a response with the answer to my query the next morning. I opted for SmartSurvey over other products because, although they also offer academic pricing, they demand payment for a full year, unlike SmartSurvey which allows payment only for the duration you need it.

I find creating high-quality surveys with SmartSurvey to be straightforward and it allows me to reach a large number of people. I use it to gather opinions from both my employees and customers, setting up several surveys with various response formats. The dashboard is user-friendly and I appreciate the option to use pre-programmed questions and my own corporate template. The response formats are professional and the skip logic is easy to implement. There are detailed online guides for each stage of creating and using the survey, and the customer service is quick to respond when I need extra help. However, I noticed that it doesn't seem possible to customize the formatting of text within a question, such as italic, bold, paragraphs, etc. This would be a useful feature. In response to my feedback, the vendor informed me that there is an 'enable editor' button in the bottom right corner when editing a question, which activates all.

I recently decided to upgrade to the business plan of SmartSurvey, intrigued by the product literature that suggested the software could support a specific question piping use case that I needed. After making the upgrade, I discovered that the functionality was slightly different than what I had envisioned. However, I took this as an opportunity to explore the other features of the Business plan, which I had access to since the upgrade date. While it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, I was impressed by the range of features and tools available. It's clear that SmartSurvey has a lot to offer, and I was able to make use of the Business plan for a few days to assess its functionality. I think it's important to remember that sometimes, things might not turn out exactly as we expect, but that doesn't mean we can't make the most of the situation. I would encourage anyone considering an upgrade to think carefully about their specific needs and expectations. But remember, even if the software doesn't deliver exactly what you expected, there's a whole world of features waiting for you to explore. So, dive in and make the most of it!

I use SmartSurvey to gather data for a book club and it's absolutely perfect. The users have responded positively and the reporting features are comprehensive. I value the option to receive an email each time someone responds. As an occasional user, I appreciate the availability of a free basic account, with the option to upgrade for more features if necessary. Despite some limitations on features, question numbers, and survey numbers, it's perfect for an occasional user like me with less than 100 respondents per month. The software is feature-rich even at the basic level, and I wouldn't hesitate to pay for advanced features if I were a business. It's very user-friendly and easy to use, even for beginners. I wish there was an option to renumber or reorder survey responses, or to print a summary. I don't currently have the budget to upgrade for these features, but I would consider it. I chose SmartSurvey for its free basic option. I'm very loyal and would recommend it.

I've been using SmartSurvey for social science research for about six weeks now, specifically for conducting open-ended questionnaires about how online communities assist in caring for those with chronic health conditions. I find it to be an excellent tool for this purpose, as it allows me to efficiently reach a globally distributed population by posting links to surveys within online communities. I chose SmartSurvey because I needed a service provider that complies with EU data privacy laws and offers a product in English, a requirement many US providers couldn't meet, especially regarding data deletion. SmartSurvey assured me they could delete survey data from active servers within a week and from backups within 30 days upon request. Setting up a basic survey is straightforward, but there's a lot of customizability on the back end, which can take some time to learn. However, the documentation is good and any support tickets I've submitted have been answered promptly and helpfully.

It's not every day you come across a platform that empowers you to conduct your own research! I did have a few questions about the process, so I reached out to their customer service through the website. I'm eagerly awaiting their response and I'm confident they'll clear up any uncertainties. I even took a screenshot of the advertisement for reference, which was a breeze thanks to the user-friendly interface of the website. Before I completed the survey, I did my due diligence and checked everything out. I must say, everything seems to be in order. It's always good to be cautious, but I'm optimistic about this opportunity. I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds and potentially earning that £3!
