Miro and Prezi are two highly regarded tools in the visual collaboration and presentation space, each catering to different needs. However, understanding their differences can help you select the right one for your business. A significant distinction lies in their core functionality. Miro is an online collaborative whiteboard platform designed to facilitate teamwork through real-time collaboration on visual projects, brainstorming, and project planning. It offers a versatile canvas for creating flowcharts, mind maps, and other visual representations, making it ideal for teams that need a flexible workspace for creative and strategic endeavors.
In contrast, Prezi is a specialized presentation tool known for its unique zooming interface, which allows users to create dynamic, non-linear presentations. Prezi's strength lies in its ability to transform standard slide presentations into engaging visual journeys, making it a preferred choice for educators, marketers, and professionals who...

Project Teams: Miro is ideal for project teams as it provides a collaborative workspace for planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of projects. It offers tools for strategizing and planning work, such as Gantt charts, and for mapping projects with flowcharts and diagrams
UX/UI Designers: Miro is a valuable tool for UI/UX designers, especially in teams without a dedicated designer. It helps move ideas from brainstorming to wireframes and high-fidelity designs. However, the undo feature could be improved
Agile Teams: Agile teams can benefit from Miro's impressive sharing options, real-time editing, survey conducting, task timing, and presentation features. It's particularly useful for remote workers due to its collaborative aspect and the whiteboard feature

It offers a variety of templates for different needs, making it easy to create visually appealing outputs. However, the boards can become too large and disorganized, making them difficult to read and navigate.

Unleashing Creativity with Miro: A User's Perspective
Miro is an amazing visual collaboration platform that my team and I use for brainstorming, creating diagrams, and mapping out ideas in real-time. It's more than just a whiteboard; it's an infinite canvas where our ideas can grow and change. It's a virtual playground where simple sticky notes become the basis for innovative concepts, and mind maps turn into intricate thought ecosystems. Miro's true magic lies in its versatility, allowing me to visually express myself and connect with my team on a deeper level, whether I'm an experienced designer creating detailed user flows or just jotting down ideas. However, it can be slow and laggy, especially when working with large boards or when many people are collaborating on the same board. Also, the interface can be somewhat cluttered, making it hard to find the tools and features I need.

Embrace Miro for Your Virtual Brainstorming Sessions
Starting with Miro is incredibly simple and doesn't require any training for newcomers. I was able to quickly learn how to create and move stickers around. It's my preferred tool for ideation sessions. Miro is a fantastic collaboration tool for whiteboarding and brainstorming. I can effortlessly put up stickers as a group on the board, save, collaborate and form ideas with my team. We even use it for face-to-face meetings, as it allows us to save our progress and continue where we left off in the next session, not just for virtual meetings. I wish I could export the stickers, add attributes to them, and convert them into structured data after the brainstorming is finished. However, this isn't always necessary for regular brainstorming sessions, so it's not a deal breaker.

Excellent Software - Inefficient and Unprofessional Sales Team
Aside from some lacking shape functionalities, I find the product satisfactory. I've been using it for years on both the free and first pricing level. The pricing is clear unless you require the enterprise level. However, I've had a poor experience with the salesmen from the Irish office. Despite clearly stating my needs in an email, they wasted my time in a lengthy meeting where they couldn't answer basic product feature questions, often resorting to I will get back to you. Following this, they ignored me after finally reading my initial emails or realizing they couldn't upsell me to the enterprise level. This was extremely unprofessional. Thankfully, there are many Visio-like whiteboard alternatives to Miro.

Miro Simplifies Planning
Miro Makes Planning Easy. In my previous two companies, we used lucid chart for creating org charts, sales strategies, and visualizations. It was functional, but always difficult to start. Miro, on the other hand, is extremely easy to use. As a salesperson, I don't want to spend my entire day creating charts and PowerPoint presentations. Miro makes it easy to start, share, and is a very affordable tool for me.

Miro is Amazing!
I absolutely adore Miro! I had a task to create an organization chart quickly and initially tried to use Excel, but after an hour of struggling, I realized it wasn't presentable. I should have used Miro from the start. The result is so visually appealing, I can't stop admiring it. I've noticed they offer a variety of templates for different needs. I've been using it extensively and the output is always impressive and vibrant. I'm extremely satisfied and find myself returning to Miro for every project.

An Ideal Solution for Product Managers Without a UI/UX Designer: Miro
In my company, Product Managers handle UI/UX design tasks as we don't have a dedicated designer. We use Miro as our main tool for UI/UX design, as it helps us move ideas from brainstorming to wireframes and high-fidelity designs. However, Miro's undo feature is not very good, which can be an issue when I accidentally make major changes to a board and can't undo them.

Excellent Resource for Remote Collaboration
Our Agile coach introduced us to Miro a few months ago and we've been using it consistently, incorporating it into our daily tasks. The sharing options that Miro provides are truly impressive. I can track another person's view, edit in real time, conduct surveys, time tasks, and present work. The quantity and quality of the drawing options are commendable, but for me, it's the collaborative aspect that makes Miro the best tool for remote workers. The whiteboard feature is excellent, although the interface to switch between boards can be somewhat counterintuitive. We usually just use the whiteboard link and don't navigate through all the boards we have unless it's absolutely necessary.

Opt for Miro for Team Collaboration and Cut Down on Update Calls!
I enjoy using Miro for the design thinking process with my clients as it allows us to work on the project simultaneously, even when we're not in the same room. I value the feature that lets me password-protect my board to prevent unauthorized access. The tool is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for team collaboration on a single project, regardless of where we are. However, I find the zoom feature in Miro less satisfactory compared to other tools like Figma, as I often zoom in too close or accidentally select everything. I hope Miro can enhance this feature in the future. I use different tools depending on my client's preference.

Efficient Miro: Powerful for Trained Users, Challenging for Newbies
I find Miro intriguing but its challenge in sharing results with others is inconvenient. It's quite thorough and relevant, providing task and schedule management with sharing capabilities. However, the difficulty in exporting the model to those unfamiliar with this tool is a disadvantage. I switched to Miro because the other tool was easier to share in terms of its export function.

Great Software and Service - Questionable Billing Practices
I think Miro is a good program and service, but I'm frustrated by the billing irregularities. It feels like a cheap trick that when I remove team members, I have to take an extra step to physically change the 'team size' to avoid being billed for 'empty spaces'. This seems like a revenue maintenance trick and frankly, it feels unethical.

Unlocking Collaboration, Planning and Management with Miro
Miro has proven to be an essential tool for my team, helping us establish a productive workspace where we can collaborate, plan, and monitor our progress. Appreciating Miro's Unique Approach to Customer Service
Miro is absolutely packed with fantastic features and is incredibly user-friendly! I'm a multi-seat subscriber and I really appreciate their unique approach to customer service. They lean towards email support, which is a refreshing change from the norm. It's great because it allows me to articulate my issues in detail and gives them ample time to provide a comprehensive solution. It might take a bit longer than phone support, but the quality of the solutions they provide is worth the wait. It's a different experience compared to other software companies, but it's a change I welcome. I'm excited to see how they continue to innovate their customer service approach in the future. I'm definitely sticking with Miro!

The Original and Unbeatable Miro
I'm not certain if Miro is the first collaborative web whiteboard, but it definitely feels like the best and most comprehensive one that has gained enough popularity to be widely used. It's incredibly user-friendly, which is essential as the aim is to involve the entire team on the shared boards. It needs to be simple enough for all team members to engage. My only complaint is the cost. The free version is quite limited, which I understand, but with so many other office suites now offering a version of whiteboarding/mind-mapping/brainstorming software (even Figma now has it), it's hard to justify spending so much on Miro unless you're using it as a project management or full-blown UX tool as well. It's much easier to use FigJam, for example, as your brainstorming tool, than it would be to use Miro in place of a full Figma.
