Outstanding Customer Service from Vina at Otter/Revel.
I've been using Otter since the early days of the pandemic for my three restaurants, integrating it into Revel POS. It has greatly improved accuracy and saved my team a lot of time. The platform has evolved significantly and I can do most of the programming and publishing myself. However, I had issues with unstable menu links. Previous customer service experiences were frustrating as they were only available via email and it didn't lead anywhere. I insisted on a callback and was thankfully contacted by Vina, a support specialist. Over two days, we worked together to fix everything. She was intelligent and knowledgeable, even conducting research to identify the underlying problem. She genuinely cared about my issue and worked hard to resolve it. She was attentive and understanding. If I could, I would give her 1 stars - she's amazing.

Today, I had an issue with my Uber Eats not being able to enter the POS systems to print. The first customer service representative I encountered was unprofessional and unhelpful. I also like that I can record audio for transcription directly without needing to connect to a meeting app. However, I've noticed that the transcription quality varies depending on the microphone or headset I use. Some headsets don't transcribe as well as others, despite being of good quality. This inconsistency is especially noticeable when different people in meetings have varying speaker volumes and accents. Additionally, the upload time for pre-recorded Zoom videos is too long, taking about an hour for a 1 Gb file. I chose Otter to transcribe important meetings, refer to and search for specific information discussed within the meeting, and save time.
