Solid Choice, Though Slightly Expensive
As an experienced user, I've never had any major problems with Microsoft Project. It works well and performs its job effectively. However, I do wish they would improve the user experience, especially the interface design. For many years, it was the go-to software for project management and was almost a necessity for anyone in the field. This is a big reason why many older users like me still use it. Aside from this, it's well-designed and a solid choice. For experienced users, it's one of the best tools out there and it's quite easy to start a new project with it. However, it feels like Microsoft Project has become stagnant over time. Newer alternatives are easier to use and have more appealing designs. Like other Office apps, Microsoft Project seems too tied to the Office style and lacks innovation, which can limit user creativity. I initially chose Microsoft Project because it was the standard project management tool at the time and I didn't have many other options.

Wishing to Love Microsoft Project, But It Falls Short
I believe this product has great potential if they could fix the bugs, enhance the interface, and improve its integration with other Microsoft software. It could truly be a comprehensive solution. It's incredibly affordable and feels familiar, as it's part of the Microsoft Suite. However, it feels outdated and clunky. Visually, it's not as appealing as other project management software and it's the least intuitive in design. It's also riddled with bugs that prevent tasks or projects from updating or saving correctly, which can be disastrous for a team. Furthermore, it's very clunky when integrating with other products, especially other Microsoft software, which is genuinely disappointing.

Streamlining Project Planning and Execution with Ease
Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience using Microsoft Project for managing our collaborative projects. It's been incredibly useful in tracking and completing our projects within the set timeframe, thus enhancing our efficiency in planning and executing projects. Microsoft Project shines in planning and executing projects that my team and I work on together. It enables us to divide tasks among ourselves, clearly outlining who is responsible for what, which helps prevent confusion during project execution. The Gantt chart is especially helpful in planning the project's completion time. However, it does require a significant amount of training to become skilled and comfortable with this project management software. Some features or tools are quite hard to comprehend, and the manual doesn't thoroughly explain these tools. I switched to Microsoft Project from Todoist because the latter is more effective in managing basic tasks and simple projects.
