As a member of a growing team, I find Koan extremely useful in introducing new staff to our company goals and showing them how their work contributes. We use Koan in our weekly executive meetings and it has greatly enhanced our understanding of our organization's activities. Setting up Koan was very straightforward and they provided resources to help introduce OKRs to our team and assist with onboarding. I often get real-time responses to my queries through the live chat. They consistently add new features without any unnecessary extras. However, I would like to see more export and print options, as well as more features to support 1:1s and performance management. The user experience can be slightly confusing due to the similarities between team and company views. We chose Koan because it has the right features without any bloat, offers value for money, and is easy to onboard people.

The weekly reflection feature is simple yet effective for both monitoring progress and planning ahead. However, the software requires a lot of manual input and individual item manipulation, which can make it a bit cumbersome to use. Despite this, it doesn't significantly affect its main functionality. We chose Koan because it wasn't overkill - it provided just what we needed without unnecessary features. Its pricing also made it easy for us to start using it and it really stuck with us. We switched to Koan from Perdoo, which was a mess for us. Its conceptual model was almost impossible to understand and they frequently made massive changes to the interface that required a steep learning curve. It felt like they were trying to do too much at once.

I first discovered the OKR methodology at my previous job, where we utilized Google Sheets for writing and tracking it. We also employed another SaaS product specifically for reflections. Upon joining my current company, I was delighted to learn that we were using KOAN, which allowed us to do everything in one location. The platform is incredibly beneficial on an individual level as well as within a team or company, and I highly recommend it. It's user-friendly, quick, intuitive, and regularly updated. I value the automatic saving feature and the ability to access it from any device. The reminder features are also handy. I can't identify any downsides; everything has been operating smoothly for me.

My organization, comprising many different parts and involving numerous volunteers and external partners, was experiencing significant expansion when we implemented Koan and OKRs. It seemed like we needed a thousand key results to keep everyone aligned and focused on our core success measures. However, Koan was easy and quick to implement, helping us navigate through the noise and achieve a significant amount of our stretch goals in the 14 months since we started using it. The software is user-friendly and forces clarity on the key activities or work streams needed to achieve our primary objectives. It also facilitates 360 communication across and within teams and divisions, enabling us to quickly identify and address any misunderstandings or gaps. It's an essential leadership tool for achieving real alignment and focus, regardless of the organization's size. While it's theoretically possible to track your OKRs on a spreadsheet, it simply doesn't work in practice. The weekly updating and reflection functionality of Koan provides a valuable rhythm, constantly bringing us back to our goals.

Success at Last!
Koandaily sent me an email stating that my package couldn't be delivered because I was not at home. However, I live in a full-service apartment with a 24/7 concierge. They then instructed me to contact the shipping receiver with the tracking details. When I did, the shipping receiver had no record of these numbers. I also reached out to the import agency to check when the tracking codes were recorded upon entry to the country, but none had ever entered. Koandaily claimed the packages were destroyed and wouldn't issue a refund because I didn't claim them in time. I started to suspect this was a scam. However, after posting my review, Koandaily contacted me and promptly sent my goods, which arrived today. I'm very pleased with the clothes and will purchase from this company again. Despite the initial communication issue, they resolved the problem quickly and efficiently. Thumbs up!
