Streamlining McDonald's Health and Safety with HSI-Donesafe
I feel that hsi-donesafe has made the process of completing safety logs simpler than the old paper versions we used to have. I value its capability to record all safety meeting minutes and comment conversations, and the fact that I can add more information anytime, even after an incident is closed. However, I wish that I could click on open hazard incidents on the home dashboard and be directed straight to my open ones. The vendor responded to my review, thanked me for my feedback, and assured me that customer experience and satisfaction is their priority. They also told me that Donesafe allows clicking straight through from the dashboards to access open records, and that this is a minor change that can be made from my account. They suggested I contact my safety team if I need help.

I am extremely impressed with the Donesafe software. The team behind it are innovative and take the time to understand needs for a seamless implementation. The product is constantly evolving and its workflow capability and automation are particularly impressive. The ability to capture various forms of media is powerful for conducting meaningful incident investigations. The team is excellent, always listening to what their clients want and need in a cloud-based safety solution. In my view, it's the best software I've come across. With a 15-year background in manufacturing and transport, I can confidently say it's the best I've encountered. It's the most seamless platform I've used across all the businesses I've been involved with. While some platforms can be cumbersome and hard to navigate, Donesafe's navigation is easy and straightforward. Although there are frequent updates, they are not always communicated to the users, only to administrators. However, these changes are always improvements and are quickly discovered by the users. The vendor responded to my review, explaining that updates are minor adjustments to enhance the overall experience and are documented and shared to help organizations through the changes. They offered to provide more information on updates if contacted. They stressed that customer experience and satisfaction is their priority, which reaffirms the hard work they put in every day.

The onsite dashboards fulfill both my internal and client business reporting needs. The system is flexible enough to manage complex workflows and can be customized. Although custom work can be costly, it's worth the investment. I would advise finalizing your workflows initially to save time and money on making changes later. I find hsi-donesafe extremely beneficial, especially for recording and managing policies, procedures, incidents, and hazards. It's a comprehensive platform for all health and safety reporting, from hazard to incident reporting, with the ability to follow up and assign actions until completion. I can also upload all policies and procedures on the same platform, which is useful for training the workforce and tracking overall compliance in incident actions and audit actions. However, I feel it lacks features for tracking training compliance for reporting. I think it should have features to confirm that a person has truly read and understood a specific procedure from the Knowledge base. I should also be able to create a test from the knowledge base, and this should be trackable and reportable for overall training compliance for an organization. I chose HSI Donesafe because it's all I need to perform my tasks, eliminating the need for two platforms.

I've had a positive experience with the Donesafe software, using it to develop a complex Integrated Management System (IMS) over six months. However, this required a dedicated staff member, adding to the cost. I believe there's room for improvement that would benefit most users as Donesafe continues to evolve. Five months after launching, we're capturing meaningful data within the system. While reporting in Donesafe can be limited, it can be exported to third-party software for in-depth analysis. The system is modular, ranging from simple to complex IMS. Its workflow and automation features minimize double handling and improve processes from the paper copy days. On the downside, the print function is messy, support and requested development can be slow, reporting options are limited, and video integration is restricted to YouTube and Vimeo. The mobile app is basic and Donesafe doesn't provide a manual or training.

Although it's a useful tool for reporting hazards, incidents, and creating action plans, the training on how to use the software was below average. The cost for support was also exorbitant. I initially chose HSI Donesafe due to their impressive sales and marketing. However, after I left a review, the Donesafe team responded, asking me to contact my company's Donesafe super admin user or their support for further help.
