      I appreciate the simple connection and unattended access feature of FixMe.IT as it allows me to connect to my end users easily and quickly. The software provides remote admin access to endpoints not connected to the local domain via VPN or other connection options, which is useful for setting up and troubleshooting issues. It's also more affordable than its competitors. However, the local admin access for restarting as a system service can be tricky. It's better to set up the PC and unattended access while on the local network to the domain before trying to gain unattended access. Unlike many competitors, FixMe.IT doesn't seem to offer the ability to run scripts or gather data about a device in the background without the end user noticing. I chose FixMe.IT because it was more cost-effective than my previous go-to, Logmein Rescue. The previous IT Manager was using Turbo meeting, which was not easy to connect. The cost and features of FixMe.IT made it worth trying.

      I can remotely access any Windows PC using a convenient pin or unattended access with the software, fixme-it. Compared to its competitors, its price is fantastic. It possesses all the features I would expect at this price point and it's a very solid program. I've never encountered any issues with it and it always functions well. The support is good and responsive. Although it's a bit light on features, considering the price, I don't expect much more. I wish it would auto-refresh the unattended list. Sometimes, I have to revisit the unattended to check if the computer is back online after a reboot because the information on the home page doesn't update as quickly.

However, it does lack a few features that its competitors offer, but these aren't crucial. The expert application is only compatible with Windows, and I wish there was an iOS version. I know it's possible to remote-control my PC from my iPhone with VNClite. Additionally, while it's easy to send a file from the expert PC to the client PC, there isn't a feature to do the opposite, which I find odd. The vendor did respond to my feedback, explaining that there are several ways to transfer a file from the client PC to the expert.

      I appreciate the logon/logoff, remote reboot, and simple UI features of FixMe.IT. I also like the ability to visit a simple URL and run multiple sessions simultaneously. However, I find it requires too many clicks from the user to run or accept connections. I've also had issues with QHD resolution and the inability to enter credentials to run as admin, as it must be run as a service. In response to my feedback, Dan from Techinline informed me that they plan to remove the need for the remote user to click 'Accept' when connecting to the expert. He clarified that FixMe.IT supports all screen resolutions up to 4K and suggested adjusting the application's scaling settings to suit my needs. He also mentioned that I can enter admin credentials on the remote machine, but certain tasks require the end-user's input by Windows design.

      I appreciate the simplicity of viewing my connected computers and their online status, and the ability to name, group, or ungroup them. The spreadsheet totals for connection times are extremely useful for demonstrating to clients the effort and time invested in maintaining or troubleshooting their devices. I like that the program doesn't rely on a browser and is lightweight. The customer service is quick, patient, efficient, and friendly. However, customization is not as straightforward as I'd prefer. I feel like I have to read manuals in various places and put in effort to make my branded page or template truly stand out. I wish the program could prompt for notes on what was done after a connection, and include this in the spreadsheet for connection times. Currently, I'm writing in a different program and trying to track all those notes, times/dates/clients, and then trying to incorporate them into the spreadsheets I send to my clients. It's not as neat in two separate documents or takes extra time to.
