      Quality Service, Requires O&G Expertise

I trialed Fat-Finger and found it provides instant access to weekly/monthly report metrics via its chart creation feature. It's user-friendly and accessible from the field due to its auto sync feature, and it can convert existing forms into "Apps". However, it feels somewhat clunky when used for action item assignment/closeout. The vendor responded positively to my review and offered to share their Oil & Gas experience to help with my operations. They responded in September 2018.

Efficient Tool for Work Activity Tracking and Online Sharing

FatFinger allows me to easily monitor work tasks that were previously either paper-tracked or not tracked at all. The templates are simple to set up and intuitive. Even with basic computer skills, I can get a FatFinger app up and running within minutes of using the software. However, finding data I've previously entered into apps can be difficult, as it doesn't offer relational database type access, but rather a flat database. The vendor responded positively to my review in June 2018.

Outstanding Software! The Most User-Friendly on the Market.

I believe that Fat-Finger enhances compliance and saves my team's time with its quick deployment. It offers real-time data for my boss to examine. It's the simplest software to create and use compared to others we've tested. The support is commendable and they are continuously upgrading the product. The video calling and chat module is still a novelty for us, but I'm excited to learn more about the new improvements as we explore further.

Effortlessly Craft Custom Apps for Phone, Tablet & PC with Fat Finger

I am now capable of filling out a range of reports in the field using Fat Finger apps, which are pre-formatted and ready to use when necessary. The apps are straightforward and easy to use on various devices. I have successfully implemented Fat Finger apps for operator rounds, equipment inspections, safety inspections, and more. I can create different apps that I can access on my phone and PC, enabling me to gather field data and easily format it for future use. However, the filters restrict the data I can sort by, so I occasionally have to sift through a lot of extra information to find what I need. The default naming convention can also be confusing as it numbers everything sequentially rather than by app name or other means. The vendor responded positively to my feedback in September 2018.

Stepping into Stepan's Experience with Fat-Finger

I have a positive opinion of the Fat-Finger software. The team has been responsive and accommodating, making changes based on our feedback over the years. The application has improved as they continue to listen and adapt. However, there have been some downsides, such as the software crashing and report numbers being duplicated. I hope these issues will be addressed in the new version. The sales team can be aggressive in seeking custom development opportunities. The view and dashboard filtering could be better, but creating apps is extremely easy. I value the multi-platform, PDF and Excel export features, and the new version. However, the cost per license often requires me to justify its worth. The lack of revision control has forced me to find workarounds within my ISO organization. I would like to see user-defined app types, which would allow groups to search for applications based on their type. Currently, our workaround is to have many groups. The dashboard and view need better filtering, starting with current apps.

      User Interface Needs Improvement

I find the Fat Finger software to be portable and downloadable to IOS/Android devices. However, I experience slow network and updating. There's no field to enter equipment ID and I have to manually enter TAID. Once I save or submit an entry, I can't edit it. I'm also unable to notify the next person to review or approve the submission via SMS or email. The vendor responded to my concerns, explaining that I can edit the equipment ID through the app template editor and edit saved items anytime by going into view and clicking edit. They also said I can notify or assign an action to review/approve via tasking, which will send an email notification. They advised me to submit a support request if I'm experiencing speed issues and assured me their team will assist. They also encouraged me to chat with them in the product support chat if I have any questions. They responded in September 2018.

      SQL Simplified with FatFinger

As an engineer with eight years of experience in oil & gas and currently working in semiconductor manufacturing, I found Seeforge, also known as FatFinger, to be an incredibly useful software. I was surprised that we hadn't been using it already. It provides ready-made solutions to significant problems like field ticket leakage and offers a completely new experience compared to traditional enterprise software. The simplicity of FatFinger is genuine, and it reduces the workload on field workers by automating validation and calculations. Since everyone is already using SQL, with almost no implementation issues, there's no longer a reason to stick with manual data entry. The vendor responded positively to my feedback and offered further assistance.

Needed some tweaks, but overall a breeze to set up and run!

I use Fat Finger to manage all of our Food Safety Logs, which has significantly reduced paperwork and simplified record management. Prior to using Fat Finger, we had a massive amount of papers and records that required tracking and organization. Now, everything is on Fat Finger and can be easily sorted and managed. Adding a new procedure or process is straightforward, with just a few clicks needed to create a new app. We've been able to form teams so that only relevant apps are visible to each team, minimizing confusion. The apps also remind us when they need to be filled in, which is a huge benefit given that we have multiple logs due daily, weekly, monthly, and annually. Another helpful feature is the "Trigger Sections", which enables us to alert our teams when their responses necessitate another Log/App/Record. However, there are a few areas I'd like to see improved. The app reminders aren't functioning as planned, and I'd like the capability to assign multiple people to be alerted.
