Echolon Software: A Temporary Solution with Room for Improvement
The echolon software is currently serving its purpose for me, but I'll need to upgrade soon. I need a software that provides a comprehensive staffing package, capable of managing payroll and tracking all HR information. It's user-friendly and affordable for small companies like mine with few users. The text messaging feature is a game changer and extremely useful. However, the job posting tool is ineffective, attracting only 2-3 applicants per week, which led me to subscribe to Zip. I try to import as many resumes as possible, but many fail to get through or aren't parsed correctly. All features are add-ons with this software, which can be both a benefit and a drawback. Looking at my monthly bill, I don't feel I'm getting my money's worth of $220. I wish my users utilized it more, but they lack the time for all the importing. I'd like the option to downgrade users. For instance, my onsite doesn't use this at all and just makes phone calls.

It's user-friendly, robust, and makes sourcing and recruiting quite easy. However, the search features could be improved. I've been using BB since 2006 and I'm very pleased with the product, its price, and the customer service. It's a sturdy product that's easy to learn and provides extensive customization options. However, it lacks a phone app and for some reason, TE doesn't seem interested in developing one. Also, improved and additional integrations with other programs would be advantageous. As of 2023, TE appears to be falling behind in these aspects compared to the rest of the industry and its competitors. I chose Top Echelon because it offers the best mix of product, cost, and people.
