Cons from reviewers

  • Poor user interface: Some users find the user interface of Adobe Workfront challenging and not user-friendly. It seems to be designed more for project managers or those with formal project management training, which not all users have

  • Inadequate customer service: Some users have reported that the customer service is not responsive enough. When they have issues or queries, they often receive generic responses or are simply forwarded articles to figure out the solution themselves

  • Bugs and technical issues: There have been reports of bugs and technical issues with Adobe Workfront, such as task or issue cards randomly disappearing. The software also seems to lack some anticipated features like Resource Planning, and some functions like task date calculations work unexpectedly.

  • Limited agile functionality: Despite its flexibility, Adobe Workfront falls short when it comes to agile functionality. Users who are used to other project management tools like JIRA may find it lacking in this area

  • Complexity and steep learning curve: Adobe Workfront has a lot of features, which can make it seem overly complex and difficult to learn, especially for new users. This can lead to a steep learning curve and a significant amount of onboarding

Overwhelming for Casual Users: A Look at Adobe Workfront

I tried Adobe Workfront, an organizational tool, but found it too complex for my needs. Despite being a great software, I only use about 40% of its features, making it excessive for me. I'm not comfortable paying over $30 a month for something I only partially use, so I don't plan to continue with it.

Maximizing Team Productivity with Adobe Workfront: A User's Perspective

Overall, I am highly engaged with Adobe Workfront. I value its executive features like task tracking, asset management, and collaboration tools, and I admire its ambitious approach. The ability to customize work processes and include task-related activities is a major advantage. I see it as a vital tool for streamlining project and executive processes and enhancing team productivity, despite a platform-specific learning curve. In my organization, switching from four different platforms—ServiceNow, Excel, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project—to one has been transformative for project intake, planning, and execution. We created our own workflows, trained our submitters on a single system, and then trained our project managers on the same system. I particularly appreciate the ability to add new features and modifications at any time. However, it does take some time to become accustomed to the program. A significant amount of onboarding is typically required.

Adore Workfront for Waterfall, Proofing & Intake - Agile Requires Improvement

I find Workfront generally easy to use and it works well for waterfall projects. Its customization is highly flexible, almost too much so. However, I only gave it 3 stars because of its limited agile functionality. We're struggling to adapt teams who are used to JIRA to now use Workfront. JIRA users want some of the same functions in Workfront, but they're not available yet. Despite this, Workfront has helped us move from a manual proofing process, like sending large PDFs through email, and has greatly streamlined our intake. Their support and help services are excellent and there's a lot of training available. Be prepared to become an expert if you adopt it!

Worth Checking Out, Yet Lacks Some Essential Features for Me

I initially found Workfront to be subpar until I tried other enterprise-level project management software. It's not the best, but it does a decent job of tracking everything and keeping me informed of my responsibilities. I find the email notifications useful and it's convenient to respond directly in the email or link to the project/task. The proofing tool is a standout feature, allowing in-context commenting and markups, and versioning of proofs. However, the software isn't the most user-friendly or visually appealing. The dashboard could benefit from improved UX and the absence of a proper calendar module is a significant downside. The proofing tool, while impressive, lacks a few features such as marking comments as completed or resolved without a response and creating a linear history of markups. The idea of creating percentages done of a task seems arbitrary. Overall, it gets the job done but it's not particularly enjoyable to use.

Adobe Workfront: A Game-Changing Software with Exceptional Customer Service

Adobe Workfront is an absolute game-changer! I've never come across a software as unique as this one, even though it's from a multi-million dollar company. I was so impressed that I felt compelled to find this site just to share my experience. The software is incredibly exciting to use. The customer support is equally remarkable, they send follow-up emails that keep the conversation concise and to the point. So, if you have multiple queries, which I do because the software is so feature-rich, you're in for a treat with their efficient customer service.

Empowering Data-Driven Work Planning, Management, and Measurement with Adobe Workfront

Using Adobe Workfront has made sharing projects a breeze, ensuring that every team member is up-to-date with the latest project progress. It also allows me to identify and address any issues, making progress monitoring much easier. The software has empowered us to plan, manage, and measure work based on data, enabling real-time work monitoring. Their support team has been with us from the get-go, helping to tailor a platform that best fits our work environment. We can now work efficiently in teams, planning, creating, and sharing tasks and projects within the platform. Crucially, Workfront integrates with the software we use daily and they even offer a free trial. Although it took the vendor support team a bit longer to create the perfect Workfront platform for us, it was ultimately a success. The main reason we chose Adobe Workfront is their excellent support team, who have been with us from the start.

Embracing the Challenge: My Experience with Adobe Workfront

I find Adobe Workfront to be an incredibly challenging yet rewarding product. It's intricately designed and keeps me on my toes. The task or issue cards have a unique way of keeping things interesting by changing their positions. Its Kanban boards are distinctively different from others in the industry. Even though there are free products available, the features and capabilities of Adobe Workfront significantly outshine them. I'm thrilled to be using it!

3 Instances of Queries on Adobe-Workfront: A Review

I have experienced three instances where the help desk at Adobe Workfront simply forwarded me an article in response to my queries, leaving me to figure it out on my own. In all three cases, I had already reviewed these articles before reaching out for help. I had to explain that the articles were not resolving my issue and that I was already aware of them. At one point, I had to insist on being escalated to Level 2 support, only to be forwarded another article.

Falls Short for Agile: A Review on Adobe Workfront

As someone in tech, I often run my projects in some form of Agile, but this is where Adobe Workfront falls short. Despite its flexibility and the range of tasks it allows me to do as I become more experienced with it, I can't shake the feeling that it was designed for something else. It feels like it was originally a competitor for MS Project that was later adapted for Agile work. Even simple tasks like creating issues or bugs and story pointing can become complex exploratory missions in a user interface that seems to have been put together without much thought for intuitiveness and user experience. If I had the choice, I would honestly use JIRA, but Workfront is acceptable.

Exploring the Potential of Adobe Workfront: A Hands-On Experience

Adobe Workfront software is like a breath of fresh air! It's a work in progress, and I'm excited to see how it evolves. While it currently doesn't have features like Resource Planning, it offers a unique opportunity to manually manage task date calculations. This gives me a hands-on experience and allows me to understand the impact of changes in task deadlines on dependent tasks. I'm thrilled to be part of this journey and can't wait to see how it improves over time!

Exploring Adobe Workfront: A Project Management Powerhouse

Adobe Workfront is a platform that I find relatively easy to implement, allowing me to customize request forms and personalize the view of incoming projects. It's straightforward to find and leave updates, attach documents, and communicate with other users. However, it can be laborious to create personalized reports and overviews, and notifications can be easily overlooked. I think more personalization options, such as for planned hours and blocking out calendar dates, would significantly enhance this project management platform.

      The Update/Commenting System is Simply

I find the updates/commenting system in Adobe Workfront to be very poor. It's frustrating that we can't easily see the most recent comment or update at the top of each project. Instead, we have to scroll through all the conversations to guess where the latest updates might be.

Staying Organized with Workfront: A User's Perspective

Adobe Workfront has proven to be incredibly adaptable for every user level, offering tracking and reporting tools that can be customized to monitor any aspect of a project. While my department doesn't utilize all these features, they are readily available when needed. As my business operates remotely, this product has kept me informed, particularly during the pandemic, instilling confidence to move forward. The kanban boards and task management are essential for me. Adobe Workfront's kanban board allows us to create tasks or user stories and divide them into bi-weekly or bi-monthly sprints. However, I wish there was a better explanation for errors, as there are no clear indications why a date or field isn't updating or can't be created. Usually, a bit of troubleshooting can resolve the issue. I switched to Adobe Workfront because of its well-designed UI. Reviewing proofs and seeing team members' comments is straightforward, and other team members actively use it and tag me as needed.

Exploring the Comprehensive Features of Adobe Workfront: A New User's Perspective

As a new user, I am thrilled by the robust and comprehensive user interface of Adobe Workfront. It's clear that it's been thoughtfully designed with project managers in mind, which is a testament to its professional-grade capabilities. While I'm still learning the ropes, I appreciate the depth of features it offers. It's exciting to have a tool that allows me to manage work, create timelines, and swiftly update or remove tasks. The inclusion of predecessors and task dependencies is a fantastic feature that I'm eager to master. It's a bit of a learning curve, but I'm confident that it will greatly enhance my project management skills in the long run.

      New to Adobe Workfront

As an open-minded individual towards new software, I had high hopes for Adobe Workfront as a project management and IT-Help Desk work request tool. I was primarily looking for three key elements: ease of use for both users and admins, the ability to easily manage projects and requests at a glance, and quick reporting tools to track project or work request status and hours. However, I found that Workfront could use some improvements, especially when compared to my previous experience with BMC Track-It and CRM software in an IT Help Desk environment. I'm not sure if it's a matter of needing to further customize my views or if it's a limitation of the software, but I believe there's room for enhancement. Ideally, the next version would display all information on one central screen, allowing users to customize what they don't want to see.
