It is a user-friendly tool that makes website creation accessible to everyone, making it ideal for startups looking to improve their visibility and reach their target audience. Users can select a site template from a library and customize it using various features offered by the editor. The Shopify App Store provides additional applications to enhance the website. Once the website is live, users can sell products globally and utilize various marketing tools provided by Shopify, including payment apps, POS systems, and SEO tools. Shopify offers different pricing plans for creating an online store.

Pros from reviewers

  • Mobile app functionality: Shopify's mobile app is packed with features and is as comprehensive as the desktop version, allowing business owners to manage their online store on the go.

Cons from reviewers

  • High cost: Some users find Shopify's cost to be relatively high compared to competitors, which can impact businesses, especially during periods of low sales.

  • Limited free website themes: Despite the monthly fee and additional costs for premium themes, Shopify only offers a few free website themes, limiting customization options

      Your Ultimate Ecommerce Solution: Shopify

I'm extremely pleased with my experience with Shopify. As the top ecommerce software, it provides numerous features that enable non-technical users to personalize themes, designs, products, and more. The admin panel is user-friendly and feature-rich. Sorting, ordering, and searching for products and orders are some of the best functions. However, Shopify doesn't currently allow checkout page customization. While this is good for security, it can cause some problems when redesigning themes.

Long-time User of this Ecom Site Software

I've had my ecommerce site on Shopify for a long time. I used to use Woo, which was good, but the maintenance fees with my previous developer were too high. I switched to Shopify to create my website from scratch using their templates, which eventually eliminated the need for a developer. My website is now doing great and works well with the Shopify app. I recommend using Etsy for small businesses and then having your own website on Shopify to transition customers.

My Positive Journey with Shopify: Learning and Growing in E-commerce

I've had a truly engaging experience with Shopify! I ran a successful online store and learned so much about e-commerce. There was a minor hiccup when my store was temporarily closed due to a misunderstanding about the rules, but it was a great opportunity for me to familiarize myself with their policies. I was initially concerned when my funds were temporarily held, but Shopify's team was incredibly helpful and clarified the situation promptly. It's clear to me that they operate with utmost integrity. I'm excited to continue my journey with Shopify!

Shopify: A Must-Have for Small Businesses

Overall, my experience with Shopify was excellent. It was innovative and provided all the necessary information we needed. Our customers found it user-friendly for transactions and e-receipts. We transitioned to Shopify from another system at my previous job and were impressed by its easy navigation. It significantly cut down our check-out time and made it straightforward to access information, showcase product inventory, and product images. Shopify efficiently managed everything and we never faced any issues. I have nothing negative to say about it. We opted for Shopify as it was easier for us to navigate and it came highly recommended by both employees and customers who had used it.

Shopify: The Ideal Platform for Effortless and Efficient E-commerce Setup and Management

In my view, Shopify (+ Shopify Plus) is the ultimate platform for executing e-commerce projects efficiently and successfully. Even with limited resources, it allows me to sell at an enterprise level without any worries and expand later without any problems. The vast Shopify universe offers a tremendous collective wealth of experience with top talent in the development and execution of e-commerce projects of all sizes. I am currently implementing many new webshop projects on Shopify. Its user-friendly nature makes it excellent for collaborative work with different departments on the store. The integrated CDN hosting and its performance are truly top-notch. Shopify allows me to implement ideas directly. Thanks to its modular system, I can set up stores within minutes. I can easily set up the existing payment module and install apps for analysis, marketing, and aesthetics. It's particularly beneficial for e-commerce beginners like me, who lack extensive web design experience. The quick foundation setup and noticeable progress in success motivate me to continue.

      Shopify: The Ultimate Ecommerce Launchpad

I must admit, I prefer using Shopify for my online business clients. They seem to have a well-structured platform. However, I wish they would improve their customer service, allowing us to call and ask questions as paying customers. Importing my client's products was a breeze and they appeared on Google's first page the next day, which was impressive. The platform is easy to set up and use. On the downside, there are only a few free website themes, which is disappointing given the $30/month fee and the additional $300 required for a decent theme. Despite the abundance of online tutorials, many are outdated and don't align with the new look. Also, Google's page speed test consistently shows lower speed compared to other platforms like Wordpress. The lack of customer service is also a concern.

Shopify's Swift Response to Impersonation: A Personal Experience

In December, I had an interesting encounter with Shopify. I discovered a website that was impersonating my company and immediately reported it to Shopify. To my surprise, they promptly responded and took action by removing our logo from the site. It's reassuring to know that Shopify is hosting these websites because it means they have control over the content. If you ever come across any suspicious websites, I highly recommend reaching out to Shopify directly. Shopify Fails to Combat Fraudulent Chargebacks and May Exclude Users with Over 1% Chargeback Rate

I find the customer service of Shopify to be inadequate and their service to be overpriced for what they provide. Despite appreciating the platform's user-friendliness, I'm let down by their lack of customer support. There are many unaddressed requests for simple features, such as sorting shipping options to prevent always defaulting to a free option. This is especially inconvenient for those with an 'add to existing order' option. Furthermore, despite their claim to defend customers against fraudulent chargebacks, I've found this to be just a claim. They do almost nothing and might even remove you from their platform if your chargeback rating exceeds 1%, even if the chargeback is due to the issues I've mentioned. The only reason I chose Shopify was because the website was already in place when I took over.
