Purchased a Medium Freeze from Harvest Right
I purchased a Harvest Right medium freeze dryer three weeks ago and it's been fantastic. We've been using it non-stop to freeze dry various types of food. Most recently, we prepared pulled pork BBQ with Sweet Baby Rays sauce, after removing all the fat from the pork loin and cooking it in the crock. We managed to prepare 4 1/2 trays, which resulted in 14 bags of 7.7 ounces each. It's a significant amount of food. I'm thrilled that we're no longer wasting food and can now buy more in bulk when there's a sale, without worrying about freezer space.

I got the Medium machine and now I create with Harvestr
I purchased the Medium machine from Harvestr and now I prepare my own camping food instead of relying on meals from other camping companies. I have the freedom to choose what meals to make. I also freeze dry candies, which my kids consume before we even reach the campsite. Additionally, my kids are eating more fruits now as I include freeze-dried apples, bananas, pears, and various berries in their school lunches.

Monitors Time, Erodes Employee Trust
I personally didn't find any business solutions or benefits from using Harvest as an employee. The only advantage I saw was for the employer, who could use Harvest to monitor every second of my day, contributing to a corporate culture of distrust. The only positive aspect I found was its ease of use. You simply search for the client or project name, indicate if it's a billable or non-billable task, and set the timer. There's also a space to detail the specific task being done. However, I found the tracking too detailed, making employees feel constantly watched and distrusted. It doesn't allow for explanations of unexpected situations, like a computer glitch or system crash. If you're a billable employee, you're essentially chained to your computer all day, as you must "Harvest" every minute of your day for an accurate activity record. I found it tedious and demeaning.

Experience with XL FD - 6 Trays on Harvestr
I've owned the XL - 6 tray Harvest Right Freeze Dryer since April 223, for about 9 months now. It was a dream of mine to own a freeze dryer for 2 years. However, my experience has been somewhat rocky. I was surprised to find that the screws, both inside and outside, were not tightly fastened upon arrival. I've also had issues with inconsistent heating from the heating pads - the top 2 shelves would overheat and burn my strawberries while the rest were fine, despite weighing out 5 lbs per tray. Recently, I've noticed rusty gunk coming out of the premier pump. I was advised to clean the demister and the reservoir to resolve the pressure issue, but the pressure still isn't low enough, around 89. I really wish I could have a reliable machine. On a positive note, the customer service is generally good, unless you encounter a representative named Lizbeth, who cancelled my ticket without even contacting me.

Excellent Customer Support, User-Friendly Interface
I received my HarvestRight order in December, earlier than expected. Although the oil filter pitcher was cracked, the box was undamaged. I contacted HarvestRight's customer service, which was excellent. I've used the product to freeze dry Skittles and Jolly Ranchers, and plan to do strawberries and pickles next. There are many helpful videos available that guided me through the delivery inspection, setup, and future freeze drying processes. The pro pump is quiet and the control panel is intuitive, though there are some things I had to look up. The candy mode is easy to use. After years of considering a freeze dryer, I'm very happy with my HarvestRight purchase.

I think this software is awesome. We haven't had it for long but so far, it's been great. Everything appears to be of high quality and it's easy to use. The touch screen controls are user-friendly and the instructions are easy to follow. The customer support was very helpful when we realized we were missing the oil filter cartridge upon unboxing. They immediately shipped us a replacement. So far, I'm very happy with it.

There are features I don't use, like the expenses feature, so I can't comment on that. But everything else works perfectly. I switched to Harvest from Toggl, which I still use for freelance projects. The reporting and time overview aspects are vastly different with Harvest.

I've been using my XL HarvestRight for four months and I'm extremely satisfied with it. As a commercial fisher, I spend a lot of time on the water with limited space and refrigeration. This has revolutionized our access to fresh foods, ice cream treats, various vegetables, sauces, and orange juice, which I wouldn't have brought before. I was in search of a method to store food that was less prone to damage from heat and freezing, and that wouldn't involve the use of glass jars, which can break during earthquakes, or cans, which can rust and cause issues. The Harvest Right freeze dryer has been perfect for our needs in this regard. It has met my expectations in terms of quality. We have freeze-dried apples, strawberries, and bananas, and plan to use it for our garden produce in the summer. The machine operates very quietly and comes with comprehensive instructions. We've had it for about three months and are excited to use it for food and meals for hunting camp, as they are very lightweight and don't require refrigeration.
