Overall, I find the product, form-opx, to be quite good. We use it in key processes and it performs well. The support team is quick to respond to any issues we report, although sometimes it can take a while for them to resolve these issues. It's worth noting that a problem isn't always a fault with the software, sometimes it can be an issue on our end. The software allows us to easily fill out forms with dropdowns, radio buttons, and tick boxes. It also enables us to include checks and logic in the forms, collect signatures, and create PDF outputs which are crucial for regulatory purposes. Additionally, it can integrate with our in-house applications through the API. However, the design and underlying metadata of the forms are somewhat rigid, and there's a lack of flexibility which affects maintainability. Also, there's no sandbox for testing. We chose FORM OpX because it met our very specific and critical needs.

In my experience, the form-opx app is not ideal for the swift, decisive visits needed in many mortgage field inspections. The app's slow speed could potentially jeopardize my personal safety and lead to legal problems for my clients. Despite its simplicity and easy navigation, the app's speed impedes my efficiency and effectiveness as an inspector. On my new Android Pixel XL phone, the app has several issues. The layout of questions and pictures is not logically organized for my industry. The process of taking and acknowledging a picture within the app is time-consuming and often lags. Sometimes, the app closes by itself or fails to add the acknowledged picture, resulting in its loss. There have also been cases where the app has lost complete inspections and all associated photos with no record of their existence.

The implementation was straightforward and the ongoing support has met our needs as our user base has grown. The system is highly configurable yet not complex, allowing our in-house team to use it without needing IT's involvement. The software is accessible on any platform and is constantly being improved. The only minor issue is that the look and feel could use a refresh, likely due to the system's flexibility.

Initial Phase, Fairly Impressed with Form-OPX
Form.com has an outstanding support team that's easily reachable and very helpful. However, the software itself has many features which can make it challenging to use. While the numerous options provide great flexibility, they can also be confusing if not well-organized. There are certain functions the software doesn't perform natively, but alternatives can be found. This might seem makeshift to some, but it does offer great potential. The system's capability to handle electronic signatures is not as strong as I'd like, often requiring documents to be sent to someone for signing, similar to Docusign. While there are possibilities within the software, they feel more makeshift and I'd prefer a better native way to handle multi-person workflows. Data retention is excellent, seemingly unlimited. They also offer API use, which I haven't tested yet but plan to use eventually. Overall, I would recommend Form.com, but I suggest getting a demo of exactly what you need to ensure their tool will meet your requirements.
