      The most significant advantage I've found in using Employment Hero is its ability to track leave. Lately, I've been valuing the access to staff details, especially as 80% of our team is now remote. This keeps us connected via phone, messaging, and regular emails. Management can also keep everyone informed with crucial updates through the Company Feed. I particularly enjoy the feature that allows us to track leave, and its user-friendliness is a significant benefit. Staff can request leave through the mobile app, and management can monitor it. This function is also useful when handling payroll as it transfers approved leave to our accounting software for each pay cycle. I also value the Timesheet function, which we use to record extra hours worked and log them as time in lieu. It gives both management and the employee a record of any additional hours worked. However, I wish staff could comment in the Company Feed when management makes an announcement. Currently, they can only give a Shout.

      I am extremely satisfied with Employment Hero's overall performance. It has significantly cut down our payroll process from 8 hours to just 2 hours and has streamlined the onboarding process, making it paperless. The staff is very supportive, responding quickly to queries and suggesting better operational methods. The software facilitates easy onboarding/offboarding of employees, digital acknowledgment of documents, checklists, and timesheet & leave requests through the app, along with comprehensive audit reports. However, there are areas that need improvement, such as the limited connection with the Payroll portal. There are also issues with excluding Apprentices from payroll tax, applying rule sets during HR onboarding, and the unavailability of incident reports from the app. I would like to see more visibility for contractors on HR. The training provided was subpar and no handover document was provided. I chose Employment Hero due to my past experience with it, the cost-benefit ratio, and its superior user-interface.

      I find Employment Hero to be a perfect paperless system for the direction my business is heading. It provides both HR and Payroll platforms that integrate seamlessly and is reasonably priced for my business size. Having never had a good HR system before, this ticks all the boxes for me. I'm still learning the system, being only 6 months in, but I keep surprising myself with what I find and can do. I appreciate its modern design compared to our old system and its compliance with the awards. What I love most is the flexibility it gives me as the payroll admin to tailor the platforms to our business needs. The most useful feature is that it can be set up on the award and another plus is the paperless HR system which is much more time efficient and has a better track record. The app that integrates seamlessly with the platforms has definitely improved my HR role.

      I started using Employment Hero (EH) as an HR Platinum User in May 222 and have been using it ever since. I find the system user-friendly and appreciate its modern look and feel. My favorite feature is the Shout Out feature, which we use to share success stories with the entire business. I've worked with several HR systems, and what sets EH apart is its continuous improvement and release of new features. They offer more than just a system, providing policy templates and regular webinars for knowledge sharing in the people field. We haven't yet discovered all the features, but each new one we launch receives positive feedback from staff. Two individuals, Ashleigh C and Sarah F, have been particularly helpful, demonstrating extensive product knowledge, responsiveness, and a pleasant working relationship. Overall, my experience with EH has been positive so far.

      Letdown at Each Stage - Grossly Overhyped

      I find it strange that this company receives the reviews it does. I've been utterly disappointed with Employment Hero at every single touch point. The service level is poor, with account managers and sales people needing constant follow-ups. The product itself is also disappointing. The onboarding process had a fixed time window which we missed due to other priorities. We were then directed to a series of videos and tutorials, some of which were outdated and contradictory, leading to more support enquiries. In my opinion, if you use Xero for payroll and have a decent filing system on Dropbox or Google Drive, Employment Hero only adds friction, complexity and extra cost. Every feature seems good until you realize it only gets 75% there and the last 25% isn't possible. For instance, signing documents only works if you use their subpar editor. I can't upload an existing Word document template and use their e-sign feature. Reviews don't allow for manager-only notes, and the UX/UI to build is one of the worst I've ever experienced. Customization is limited and the ability to adjust the menu for staff is done via menu management, which feels counterintuitive compared to most applications.
