Effortless Mobile Device Management with Workspace-One

My experience with Workspace-One has been positive. It ensures the security of all our devices and provides reports on non-compliant ones. I can conveniently disable or wipe missing phones, meeting all our needs. It's easy to administer and configure, with ample setup documentation. It allows us to manage and secure our mobile devices effortlessly, and push out updates, software, and wireless access. The enrollment process has significantly improved, enabling easy user self-service. I found it relatively simple to configure to connect to our AD system and other functionalities, although it might be slightly challenging for a beginner.

Control Your Endpoints with Workspace ONE

I find VMware Workspace ONE to be a beneficial digital workspace platform that securely delivers and manages access to corporate resources from any device, anywhere, and at any time. It provides a seamless, secure, and integrated user experience for accessing resources like applications, desktops, and data from various devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones. I value its enhanced security features like single sign-on and multi-factor authentication, as well as mobile device management. It simplifies device management by providing a single platform for managing and securing various devices. This platform increases flexibility, allowing me to work from any device and location. It also improves my overall user experience by providing seamless access to corporate resources. However, I find that Workspace ONE may not integrate well with certain other systems or platforms, which could limit its usefulness. Depending on the complexity of an organization's IT infrastructure, it may be challenging to set up and configure. The cost of Workspace ONE may be prohibitive for some organizations, especially smaller ones.

Mastering Mobile Device Management with Workspace One Suite

The Workspace One suite has solved many issues we encountered with AirWatch alone. It helps users switch between applications smoothly. However, to sync mobile devices with the Workspace server, the Hub app needs to be opened somewhat frequently. Users often overlook this and become non-compliant.

Where Would We Be Without Workspace-One Today?

I had a positive experience with workspace-one, even under challenging circumstances. The support team was quick to respond and the technicians were well-informed. Luckily, we were already partnered with VMWare when Covid lockdowns started, which allowed us to shift over 3000 employees to remote work in less than 45 days. The cost is steep, but the quality matches the price. VMWare offers efficiency and user-friendliness, though it seems like there could be a more cost-effective alternative out there.

Exploring WS1 UEM for Deciem: A Journey of Integration and Device Management

I find Workspace ONE to be effective in its current setup, but it lacks upgrade options for larger organizations. Although the support is satisfactory, it isn't very prompt. I find managing devices, controlling application versions, and tracking device locations easy. However, the tool's architecture is complex, especially when setting up regions, departments, and linking devices. I chose Workspace ONE as it seemed most suitable for our continuously growing organization. It takes time to explore its features, but it supports integration with existing tools.

Effective for Mac and Windows: A Single Tool for All Endpoints

As an IT professional, I found enforcing security controls and policies with Workspace One a bit challenging, especially when integrating it with our SIEM, which led us to choose a different solution. However, the software did have its positives, such as allowing us to enforce HD encryption to all endpoints - a feature I greatly appreciated. It was also fairly intuitive and easy to deploy across our enterprise, enabling us to install various applications and enforce encryption. There was a slight learning curve, but it wasn't too overwhelming. A downside I noticed was the lack of Event Data in the REST API, which forced us to use the Syslog data that could use some improvement. If the REST API was expanded, this issue could be resolved. We initially chose Workspace One for its support for both Mac and Windows.

A Leading Force in the MDM Sphere

The implementation of Workspace ONE was time-consuming, but our end-users are very satisfied with the transition from the old MDM platform. As a legacy platform user, Workspace ONE allowed us to use native email clients on our mobile devices. We work in a highly regulated environment that demands top-tier security. To meet this, we faced numerous seemingly unnecessary hurdles. We opted for Workspace ONE as it was part of our VMware license. We moved from XenMobile to Workspace ONE because XenMobile lacked the features and control we required.

Workspace ONE allows me to integrate new applications and devices in less than an hour without any issues. It lets me set up and implement data and access policies across all applications, devices, and locations from a single location. I can also carry out business processes from a mobile device, and provision a laptop instantly from anywhere in the world using the cloud. Workspace ONE is a business platform that provides a digital workspace, enabling employees to safely integrate their chosen technology, whether devices or applications, at the cost and speed that the company requires. It includes components of email, calendar, contacts, documents, chat, and business social networks of the employees' choice, as well as invisible security measures that protect the organization from potential data leaks through restrictions when modifying or sharing attachments. It facilitates real-time collaborative work among employees. Workspace ONE automates traditional tasks of integration and configuration of laptops and mobile devices, and provides real-time application lifecycle management features that bridge the gap between legacy client-server applications and the mobile cloud era.
