However, I found the dashboard somewhat hard to navigate and often had trouble finding the information I needed, which was time-consuming. I'm not a fan of fees, but I understand their necessity. They also offer options to manage clients and subscriptions, including free trials. Their commissions aren't the cheapest, but they aren't overly expensive either. I appreciate their continuous development of services, like accepting payments via convenience stores. However, initially, I found it difficult to understand all their concepts and couldn't find a simple tutorial on their site. I chose Stripe Billing because the registration process was straightforward. They asked for a lot of user data, but once provided, I was ready to go live. I'm still considering Openpay, but their client registration process is more difficult.

      I believe that Stripe Billing is the best method for receiving online payments from customers. It boasts a feature-rich dashboard and excellent customer service. The payouts are consistent and, after trying various providers, I find Stripe to be the best alternative on the market. It offers a powerful invoicing system, recurring payment capabilities, a great graphical dashboard, and top-notch customer support. However, I do think the fees could be lower. They charge 2.9% plus $0.3 plus 0.5% per recurring payment, which significantly increases the prices, not including federal taxes. I chose Stripe Billing because it's easier to configure, provides better customer support, and its API and dashboard are superior to all other alternatives. Plus, the features overall surpass those offered by its competitors. Additionally, gaining access to Stripe was a straightforward process compared to other alternatives full of hurdles.

      The software feels outdated, like it's from the 1990s. It's great that it doesn't require a landline, but it's missing some key features, such as processing credit card payments in the field or in-store without internet. I like that I can accept payments through my ecommerce website, but it's frustrating that I can't add a custom note for the customer and it requires too much information to process a credit card, like the billing address. I wish it had a credit card swipe feature to avoid having to input so much information. I've contacted customer service about this, but they've never followed up. I chose Stripe Billing over Shopify because Shopify is expensive and charges per transaction as well as a percentage of the sale. I switched to Stripe Billing because I needed an all-in-one ecommerce and point of sale solution, rather than separate services for each.

I value the fact that I can use it directly and integrate it with my own point of sale system. If I forget how to perform a task, I can easily find assistance from their support forums or chat. The only drawback is that it doesn't alert me if a payment fails, but I've resolved that by using Zapier to receive email notifications. I also experienced a chargeback once and I wish there was an option to upload multiple documents for disputes, not just one. I selected Stripe Billing for its superior features and cost-effectiveness. Although Zoho has some new features I might use, I'm trying to keep my overhead as low as possible right now.

      Update: The response email from Stripe directed me back to the same Support Team that has been unhelpful so far. The email address they provided doesn't work. If I could, I would give this review negative stars. Dealing with Stripe Support via email has been a nightmare. I have repeatedly requested a call back because after 18 months of having an account, support suddenly needs to verify that the non-profit association is legitimate. I have submitted the required paperwork multiple times, only to receive the same templated response asking for the same documents again. I was informed that Stripe is not equipped to handle phone calls. Stripe has stopped depositing funds into the account and is holding the funds until the account can be verified. They were more than happy to process over 1k last year for this association, but now that money is coming in quickly this year, they are holding it. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
