Rethink: A User's Perspective
I've had a fantastic experience with Rethink and have even recommended it to other agencies. I value the support from the Rethink team, it feels like we've been collaborating as a team from the beginning and continue to do so nearly two years later. The software is user-friendly and consistently updates with new programs to meet our needs. I appreciate the availability of a support team whenever we face issues. However, some programs take time to implement, which can be challenging from a business standpoint. I wish there was a more detailed note section beyond the demographic area. If there's a problem with Rethink, such as speed or software updates causing the system to be down, I'd like a notification upon logging in so our field staff is aware. Rethink currently does this for anything "new", so why not when it's having issues? I chose Rethink because it's user-friendly and switched to it because I needed a software that provided billing as well.

As a Super User with prior experience in NextGen and eClinicalWorks, I hold high expectations for software functionality and accessibility. I've been using Rethink for six months and have noticed areas that need improvement. Like other electronic health record systems, users often desire numerous features without understanding the system's background construction. Developers often lack insight into what users require in their daily software usage. I haven't fully explored Rethink yet, so I'll provide a more comprehensive review in another six months. I value the data-driven graphical presentation. However, there are areas where I anticipated information to auto-fill, but I find myself manually inputting in many fields. The software demands more clicks and typing than I prefer, and there are too many drop-down menus and window switches to access the information I need. Data can easily be erased by authorized users, so timestamps or a security log of edits or deletions would be advantageous. There are also several bugs.

I value Rethink's capability to compile program data into reports and self-graphing. However, I wish there was a program checklist for technicians to review before they start data collection. This could be a report detailing the skills practiced in the previous session. I would also appreciate a report that technicians can read from supervisor updates. When I used to document data and session notes on paper, the technicians could read the supervisor notes, programming updates, changes, etc. before they started their session. I opted for Rethink because I had previously used this PMS with another company. It was not only familiar but also user-friendly. It's not challenging to train others on this system and the learning curve isn't steep. It appears to have most of the functionality we need and we have utilized many aspects of the system. I appreciate the vendor's response and feedback in March 2021.

Easy to Use, Yet Lacks Extensive Features
I find the deployment of the Rethink system to be excellent, comparable to Catalyst but without the many technical issues. I like the customizable presets available when setting up a new student's profile. However, Rethink's main drawback is the limited ability to correct inaccurate data collection after the DOS. I also find their support less direct, as it often takes several attempts to reach them by phone and it's not as smooth as an active chat feature would be. I chose Rethink because it was the most user-friendly for BCBAs and it was the popular choice. I switched to Rethink from Catalyst due to the latter's numerous glitches and occasional service downtime lasting for hours.

Lately, I'm Somewhat Disappointed with
I am somewhat disappointed recently with the delivery of the refill cartridges. Despite instructing them to deliver to the Nursery door, they continue to deliver to the school. We are often informed of delivery, only to find out that it hasn't been done. Additionally, there used to be a collection service for the empty cartridges, which hasn't been provided this time. However, the actual product is good and the printer is excellent.

Discovering Printer Leasing with Rethink Software
I've found that leasing a printer from Think Rethink is a convenient solution as it eliminates any worries. All I need to do is add paper. Their engineers are readily available over the phone to assist with any issues and will visit the next day if they can't resolve it remotely. I've rated them 4 out of 5 stars because being somewhat distant from Hereford sometimes results in a day's delay in fixing issues, but that's merely a location issue.

Overall, I appreciate Rethink but find it somewhat costly for the features we actually utilize. As a program catering to those in dire need, we're spending more on staff than clients. I value the personalized customization it provides for our company and the prompt responses to queries and issues. The task analysis and video models for training on software use and plan execution are excellent. I also enjoy the RBT coursework, but wish there was an option for individuals to take the course without paying for the entire package if they're not using all the features. However, the scheduling feature doesn't permit scheduling multiple staff members or children simultaneously. The treatment library is overly educational and the plans aren't very beneficial for us in the field as they're not designed for clinical practices. The behavior reduction program layout is too basic and the type inboxes are too small to feel usable. I also dislike that the system requires us to have extensive knowledge about behavior beforehand.

First World Requests: A Rethink User's Perspective
I'm quite satisfied with the Rethink software and their customer service. However, I'm slightly worried about the cost as my client base expands, since the $50 a month could become pricey. As a small business owner, I value that Rethink encompasses everything I need. I especially appreciate how the time sheets are connected to session notes, and I find the payroll and billing exports very user-friendly. On the other hand, I believe the scheduling area could be more user-friendly. I used to use Central Reach, which allowed me to drag and drop appointments, and I wish I could view multiple staff and client schedules at once on the main page, not just in the group calendar section. From a clinical standpoint, I'm really hoping for manual mastery, not just a workaround of changing the mastery criteria. I'd also love to see playlists with grouped programming. I know staff can check or uncheck in the skills sections, but having a playlist from the back end would be great.
