      I am absolutely thrilled with Paylocity! My company transitioned to them from ADP about six weeks ago. We are a freight brokerage with several subsidiary trucking companies, and as the main driver who helped the CEO build the trucking side, I've had a unique perspective on the process. I've noticed a few unique features with Paylocity, including the issuance of four paper checks that are exclusively cashable at Chase Bank. This is a distinctive approach that ensures secure transactions. Moreover, as of Saturday the 14th, most of our drivers and office staff are eagerly anticipating their current deposits. I've had a constructive conversation with the CEO about the potential of sticking with Paylocity, as I believe in their capacity to adapt and improve.       I appreciate being able to modify and adjust employee punches in real time with Paylocity as a supervisor. I can easily view timesheets and track everyone's hours. Although the app could use some improvements, the website is user-friendly and provides easy access to tax information and pay stub printing. I value the features Paylocity offers, such as timekeeping, W-2 and tax information, wages, time off requests, and daily punches, as they can all be accessed conveniently by each employee at their own pace. The timekeeping features are wifi (IP) address specific, allowing employees to clock in/out from their own devices. My main issue with Paylocity is that it rounds punches up or down depending on the actual minute on the hour, which I believe should be counted as they are. Additionally, the app can be quite problematic.

      If I could, I would immediately switch from Paylocity due to its poor performance and my overall dissatisfaction with the company. We needed an HRIS for managing employee information, reviews, and payroll processing, and while Paylocity does provide these services, it barely meets the mark.The customer service is appalling. Instead of the promised "Account Manager", we were given a customer support center staffed with inexperienced employees unfamiliar with the system. I've had to guide them through their own system on multiple occasions. Several critical payroll processing errors have occurred due to incorrect instructions from the "account manager". I spend around 2-3 hours weekly on the phone with customer support for simple queries. Despite numerous requests to speak with supervisors, I've received no response.The implementation process was a complete mess. Our initial consultant vanished without a trace and the second one was missing for two weeks before suddenly reappearing.

      I received a call about issues with my medical reimbursement. I was told I was verifying the account incorrectly, despite verifying it three times and providing screenshots. I tried to explain that I kept receiving emails, but the representative wouldn't listen or let me speak. They kept insisting that I needed to listen and stop talking, which was very rude. It's my money, and then I was told I would be receiving a paper check, even though I had an email stating my check was being deposited. I'm unsure if I should wait for 1 days for the check in the mail or if it will be deposited in my bank account. The representative was not helpful and perhaps shouldn't be in customer service, as they poorly represented the company.

      I find Paylocity to be a functional software, but in my opinion, Gusto is significantly superior and more intuitive. I do appreciate the pay breakdown visualization feature in Paylocity and commend their customer service. It's a feature-rich software and I've heard it's more reasonably priced than Gusto. Plus, it's paperless. However, I find the user interface to be terrible, outdated, and difficult to use. I used to enjoy using Gusto, but now I dread opening Paylocity. It lacks an export feature for the company directory and a company holidays calendar. The time off request input form is extremely confusing and setting up an approval chain is nearly impossible. Navigating the interface is a hassle and it's frustrating that I need to read a help article each time I want to edit a small field. I also don't understand why we need to enter the company ID each time we log in. I switched to Paylocity due to its compatibility with our team in India.
