It meets all our HR technology needs, providing payroll, scheduling, recruiting, and more in one system. However, the software can be "clunky" at times, with issues in reporting as reports are hard to store and often fail to run. I also find the customer service lacking, often feeling ignored. Despite these issues, we regularly use Paycor for all our business communications, including hiring, timekeeping, onboarding, and payroll. The vendor responded to my review, acknowledging the convenience of their system and apologizing for the issues with reporting and customer service. They assured me they are working on improving these areas and expressed appreciation for my feedback and business.

However, the sales agent was quick to assure me that I could cancel the same day without an early termination fee as the contract was not finalized. A month later, I was surprised to see that Paycor had withdrawn $989 from my business checking account for an implementation recovery fee. I was initially taken aback, but my bank was quick to step in, filing fraud charges and refunding my business checking account. Several months later, Paycor reached out to my business regarding the same fee. Even though we were not under contract, they were persistent in their follow-up. This showed me their commitment to their financial processes. While my experience with Paycor had its ups and downs, it was a learning curve. It taught me the importance of thoroughly understanding the terms and conditions before signing up for any service. I would recommend Paycor to businesses that are looking for a company that is diligent in their financial processes. Just make sure to clarify all the details before signing up to avoid any surprises.

Once you sign with them, you're given the independence to navigate their system. They encourage self-reliance, which is a great way to learn. Their response time may vary, but it teaches patience and persistence. Moreover, their payroll reports have a distinct style compared to Gusto's, which adds a bit of a challenge but it's always good to learn something new. We switched to Paycor for specific functionalities and it's been an interesting experience so far. I'm glad we made that decision.
