I value the ability to track who views my documents, where they're viewed, and how often they're viewed with DocSend. This is vital for both fundraising and business development. However, I wish I could securely share and track video views within DocSend or through a standalone DocSend video feature. This is my top desired feature for the future. I chose DocSend because my entrepreneur friends recommended it as the best option. I also attended a DocSend networking event in San Francisco last year, which was an incredible experience.

An Excellent Tool for Gauging Customer Engagement
The three features I value most about Docsend are: 1) the ability to see how long a user spends on each page, helping me identify effective pages and areas for improvement; 2) the use of custom links for specific users, which lets me track what's relevant to them; and 3) its integration with PersistIQ, allowing me to track each user's behavior without manually creating custom links for everyone. However, I find the free version somewhat limited as it doesn't allow for a social preview of documents, making it hard to gauge their true impact. Also, all custom links are shown in one list, which can be difficult to sort and find the right one if you're using many. Finally, it's important to remember to use the specific link for your team. It would be more convenient if visits could be filtered by IP to exclude team visits, similar to what Google Analytics offers.

My overall experience with DocSend has been positive, as I find it a feasible and easy-to-manage document security solution. However, I do think the pricing is a bit high. One of the best features of DocSend, in my opinion, is its single sign-on feature, which is not only easy to use but also ensures proper privacy. It also provides excellent document management and storage facilities. In the long run, though, I find the pricing quite high compared to competitors, which makes it a difficult choice if you want premium features but are on a budget. I switched to DocSend because it manages and stores documents with superior privacy and security compared to other tools I've used.

I find DocSend to be excellent and use it constantly, even actively promoting it. It enables me to manage confidential information and offers insights with a straightforward and pleasant user experience. I think the logo and interface could be improved, but that's not very important as the functionality is what really counts, and it performs superbly. I chose DocSend because it gets the job done for me.

Caution! DocSend Fails to Block Document Downloads
The initial pricing of DocuSend seemed appealing to me, but I quickly realized it was a case of "you get what you pay for". The software falsely advertises that it can prevent document downloads, which I found to be false. Anyone can simply print the document to PDF. When I addressed this with their customer service, they claimed they couldn't prevent it, but their software would distort the document to make it unreadable. However, I discovered that less than 10% of the content was distorted, posing a significant risk of confidential information leakage. I would have appreciated if they had been honest about the absence of this feature; then I could have decided if the rest of the package was worth the price. But their lack of transparency and poor customer service response left me with no trust in this company.

It has also helped us identify who is genuinely interested in our information by providing a report on the frequency of a single user accessing our document. Additionally, it has given us insight into which specific page our users pay the most attention to, as we can access statistics on the time spent per page by each user. The platform is user-friendly for managing documents, and uploading files is extremely straightforward. We also value the weekly reports sent via email. I especially appreciate being able to see who accesses our files, how often, and the time spent per page. However, I believe the personal version lacks reporting, which could be a disadvantage considering the next subscription plan is 4.5 times more expensive. We chose DocSend for the in-depth and rich information it provides.
