Revolutionized Our Business: Crafting Our Own Field App with Device Magic
I really like the user interface for creating our own forms in Device Magic. We've been able to create a complex form where specific sections appear based on previous responses. The interface during field collection is also great and continues to improve. However, we wish we could add multiple images at once, instead of one by one. Right now, we have to use the Google Drive app for this. They've assured me that this feature is in their development plans. The dispatching app's user interface is functional, but not as user-friendly as the form building tools. I believe improvements for this are also planned. The vendor responded positively, confirming they are in the early stages of creating a multiple image question type and updating their interface throughout the dashboard. They advised me to check their monthly newsletters for updates on new product releases, timeframes, and access to beta features.

Device Magic: A Data Capture Powerhouse Designed for Real-World Efficiency
I tested several data capture apps due to some critical needs I had, all of which had good form creation features and data types, similar to Device Magic. However, what distinguishes Device Magic is its automation after data collection, which eliminates the need for 1 or 2 office workers. The field collection process is also very quick, with excellent geostamp and timestamp features. I was amazed by the speed and accuracy of the barcode reader. The deciding factor for me, however, was the automation process. Everything from creating a PDF, storing in a database, to sending emails is automated. Device Magic quickly met all my needs. I'm eager to see how it performs in full production status. It offers some interesting question types for the Enterprise plan, which is a bit pricier. I chose Device Magic for its automation capabilities and ease of implementation.

Now, even if you're using just one device, you're covered for up to three! It's like getting two extra devices for free! I'd recommend setting up a direct debit, it's so convenient and they handle everything for you. Their communication style is unique, it's not overly formal or intrusive, they give you the space to navigate the software at your own pace. What I appreciate most is that they treat all their customers equally, whether you're a big corporation or a small startup, you get the same level of service. I'd highly recommend giving Device Magic a try, it's been a game-changer for me!

Device Magic has allowed me to create a custom inventory management system in-house, greatly enhancing our product flow data and saving us money. It provides more flexibility than other pre-packaged software. The flexibility it offers in form design and exporting submissions to other platforms is extremely beneficial to our company. However, I wish I could access forms via the web or on a laptop. I chose Device Magic because of its great flexibility with data sources for lookup fields and exporting to other platforms. I got a positive response from the vendor, who told me that my current plan supports web access for forms and that their customer success manager would be in touch to discuss this further.

However, I'm disappointed by its English-only support, which is restrictive for non-English speakers. I'm also frustrated by the inability to edit data once it's been sent to the server. I think Device Magic is great because it simplifies the process of filling in checklists. We use it to input a lot of information for checking vehicle ratings in Excel, and then send the data to Device Magic to avoid errors from repetitive tasks. I can even have my clients create a free account and add me as the email recipient, ensuring the data always comes in the same format. However, I find the VBA content in the help section limited, which can be challenging for someone self-taught like me. Despite this, I appreciate the vendor's response and their commitment to improving the help documents. They also offer support for any questions I may have in the future.

Device Magic has been a godsend for us. We've utilized it on various platforms and it consistently generates a practical, easily searchable data set. Our drivers have notably enhanced their service quality since they no longer have to rely on paper copies, except in rare cases. Our office and administrative staff are much more satisfied as they can now get reports from drivers via email instead of waiting for them to return from their routes. This has significantly boosted our efficiency in meeting customer needs. Setting up users and deploying it to mobile devices is a breeze. Once the forms are ready, getting users started only takes a few minutes. This is a massive benefit in an industry where phones can get damaged or lost, or where there's turnover or new hiring. However, some features are not as intuitive as I'd prefer, despite the majority of the software being intuitive. I value the vendor's response and their openness to consider my feedback on certain features. I'm excited about our ongoing partnership.
