So far, I have no complaints about Cloudways and it's a significant upgrade from my previous hosting service. I'm very satisfied with Cloudways due to the easy and fast process of creating an account and deploying a server and its applications, in my case, Wordpress. The performance has been outstanding and without any problems, even the basic tier can handle my website with over 200 blog posts. The costs are clearly outlined and can be tracked in real time. There's also a one-click interface for vertical scalability if needed. The customer service has been very responsive, answering chat messages within minutes and proactively resolving my issues quickly and kindly. They also have a referral program. My only minor issue is with the Cloudflare add-on, as its technical details are not clearly specified for an advanced Cloudflare user. It's inexpensive and works quickly but lacks customization and the default configuration is quite conservative. I switched to Cloudways after a 3-day trial because it offered better performance for the same price.

I've been a Cloudways user for around 3-4 years and I'm extremely satisfied with their exceptional hosting service. They provide great value for a very fair price, even surpassing WP-Engine. I conducted extensive research before selecting them and they've mostly been good to me. Their technology is flawless and their support is generally excellent. However, I've noticed their support has slowed down a bit over time, which can be frustrating when you're new to the platform and require more help. I switched to Cloudways because I needed a private server, as my service was on a shared hosting solution. I considered Siteground, but I really needed a private server to scale my web traffic without any issues.

I believe Cloudways is decent and I continue to use it due to its excellent value. I've always found deploying cloud software challenging without a deep understanding of cloud computing and administration skills. However, Cloudways simplifies this by consolidating everything into one web hosting company. They offer hosting services from leading providers like Google, Amazon AWS, Vultr, Linode, and Digital Ocean. I personally use Vultr and find it very user-friendly and cost-effective, so I would recommend it. However, there are some drawbacks. Unlike cpanel/shared hosting, where custom emails, backups, and DNS are included, with Cloudways, you have to pay for these services, including offsite backups. Even though they're affordable, it's still an extra cost.

Setting up staging sites is incredibly simple, and I have several for different purposes. The integration with GitHub is also excellent, although a bit complex to set up. The service doesn't include email or a domain, which wasn't an issue for me, but I can understand how it might be for others. I chose Cloudways because it's simply superior to other hosting services I've used. I switched from WPEngine because it was too costly and not worth the price.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Cloudways as they are seemingly trying to steal my money. I used their service for a day and found it to be very slow, so I switched to another host. Before closing my account, I requested a refund of the £8 they charged me, but they assured me it was taken from my credits. However, after closing my account, I received a bill of $44 USD via email. I am unsure of who to report this to, as it seems illegal. I am also unsure of how to prevent them from generating new invoices for a non-existent account. I am looking into how to report this issue.
