Challenging Setup and Integration for Greenhouse ATS Users
My experience with ZipRecruiter was highly disappointing. I couldn't gauge its effectiveness due to several issues I faced during the process. The only feature that worked well for me was the resume search database. However, I couldn't evaluate its effectiveness as a recruiting tool due to problems during account setup. The initial setup of our account and integration with our ATS, Greenhouse, was frustrating. We had three different Account Managers in two months, each giving inconsistent information. We faced numerous issues with account setup and their ability to scrape our jobs from our ATS correctly. We decided to stop using it in mid to late August 2019 due to unresolved issues with our account. The platform supposedly fine-tunes its targeting of the "ideal" applicant based on your rating of applicants, but for companies with a large hiring volume, it becomes time-consuming to manage applicants in both an ATS and ZipRecruiter. We didn't choose ZipRecruiter over.

ZipRecruiter: My Go-To for Job Hunting
I always start with ZipRecruiter when I need to hire or find a job for myself. It has great filters and a "one-click" apply feature that makes finding the right candidates easier. I prefer it over other competitors like Monster or Indeed. I initially chose ZipRecruiter because I was only familiar with Monster by name and hadn't used it. After trying ZipRecruiter, I instantly loved its ease of use.

It's easier to find applicant leads on ZipRecruiter than on other platforms. I can post my job listings and receive candidate profiles based on my set criteria. However, these profiles often don't match the job posting or only meet one criterion, making it hard to filter through qualified candidates. I chose ZipRecruiter as it seemed to provide more refined results for qualified candidates. I switched to it because I was dissatisfied with the candidate results from other platforms.

I appreciate the simplicity of ZipRecruiter as it makes it easy for me to find a sub-contractor or a temp employee. The software has a handy messaging inbox for tracking conversations with candidates and the pricing is reasonable. However, I find that sometimes candidates' resumes are posted even when they're not available or have recently found a job. I wish there was a way to know if they've been hired elsewhere to save me time. I switched to ZipRecruiter because it offers more options and candidate movement. I'm grateful for the vendor's response and their assistance in my hiring journey.
