This support extends to all parts of the capital raising experience. I like the interface and the access to more features than I initially thought I needed. I needed to close an investment round within a week and a half, but my lawyer couldn't help due to unforeseen circumstances. Within an hour, I was set up on SeedLegals and working with a representative to ensure everything was ready to meet the deadline. This was my first investment round, so I was careful and wanted to make sure I wasn't committing to anything that could harm my company in the future. SeedLegals explained the process and assisted with last-minute negotiations. Despite a tight deadline, my contact was able to answer all my questions, alleviate my worries, explain certain terms and their implications, and provide insight on industry norms. However, there was some lack of flexibility in adding free text in certain sections. I chose SeedLegals primarily for its speed, as my lawyer was unable to assist.

I had a positive experience with SeedLegals. They offered excellent customer service and an efficient digital platform for submitting all our advanced assurance documentation. Their internal review process was quick and thorough before sending to HMRC, and their pricing was a quarter of what another company quoted me. The entire process was seamless and our application was approved on the first attempt. They were proactive in ensuring we met our tight deadline. My account manager and their subject matter expert were very supportive and available to answer any questions I had. However, some of the written feedback was a bit confusing and it would have been helpful to have a call with the expert sooner to avoid some mistakes. It would also have been beneficial to receive a template of the cover letter and an example application earlier. I found it a bit difficult to reach my contact outside of our scheduled time. I chose SeedLegals mainly for their price, as every penny counts for an early stage startup like ours. They were a quarter of the price of the other specialist.

I have found the SEIS/EIS pre-approval and share options support services provided by SeedLegals to be excellent. The platform is user-friendly with a straightforward interface. The real value lies in the access to their experts for specific advice. I received outstanding support from their team during our SEIS/EIS pre-approval and for overall advice on our current seed round. The portal is well-designed and we've received excellent support in achieving SEIS pre-approval and implementing a professional options scheme. Their ongoing webinars are top-notch and have significantly improved my knowledge on various crucial topics. The only minor issue is that we are an Isle of Man (IOM) company and all the template documents are under UK law. It would be even better if documents were available for IOM law, but this hasn't been a problem with SEIS pre-approval or options. I chose SeedLegals because it came highly recommended by a friend.
