Two Days Gone, No Ticket Response from OVHcloud.
I ordered a domain from ovhcloud and it was canceled, yet my card was still charged for the purchase. I submitted a ticket for a refund but didn't receive a response for two days. However, they have now responded to my ticket and it appears the issue has been resolved. As a result, I've updated my rating from 1 star to 4 stars.

I have been a client of OVH since 2011 and overall, I am highly satisfied. Throughout the years, we have encountered minimal issues. We were impacted by the major fire at one of OVH's data centers, but we have maintained our trust in them. We believe this incident has only enhanced their security measures. What I value most is the platform's user-friendliness. Similar to other providers, you can create and manage your VPS, but with OVHCloud, there are features that I don't find elsewhere, or at least not as effortlessly. For example, the server can be easily expanded without needing to halt and inform the provider. They also provide a daily automated backup option, which I haven't found with other providers at a reasonable price. Regarding the software platform, I find nothing missing in our daily operations. Most necessities are conveniently located. However, their customer service could be better, especially when it comes to specialists in Plesk.

While OVHcloud is a cost-effective host for the performance it provides, making it ideal for a development environment, that's about all I can expect. The support is slow, often taking days when I need help within hours, and tickets can get lost. My only reliable option is to call their phone hotline and hope for the best, as they don't offer chat support. Their proprietary admin role is also confusing as it frequently changes and lacks consistency across their offers. If I'm not a system admin who can identify my issue and facilitate the support process, I should be prepared for a frustrating customer experience when things go wrong.

Some parts of the dashboard are confusing and customer service has been somewhat slow to respond and not very helpful. However, the issues were minor and resolved themselves. I chose OVHcloud because their product pages and prices were very clear, allowing me to easily subscribe to everything I needed in one place with transparency.

I was really pleased with OVH for their excellent hosting service, particularly as my domains were also hosted there. However, the complexity of managing it prompted me to switch to a semi-managed VPS. OVH provides a relatively inexpensive yet powerful cloud VPS. A significant benefit is that with a single OVH account, I can access other services such as domain management, DNS servers, email accounts, email marketing, cloud software, and so on. As I'm not a server expert, it was difficult to set up and maintain an infrastructure on a non-managed VPS. I transitioned to OVHcloud because I required superior service resources.

The standard support level appears to be quite slow in responding. On the bright side, it's a large provider with a strong networking backbone. Once everything is set up, things usually work fine. It also allows the use of other Linux distributions than the ones provided by default.

This has been an interesting journey, especially when sending to iCloud. I've been in constant touch with their support for months, and they've been providing me with new information regularly. It's clear they are continuously learning and striving to improve their service. They cleverly use shared IPs on their side, which I believe is a smart way to manage costs. I'm excited about the challenge of sending emails from a normal dynamic IP, which is always blacklisted and can't be removed. It's a unique feature that sets them apart from other providers. This software is definitely not for the faint-hearted, but if you're up for a challenge, it's an interesting one to tackle!

OVH provides me with the capability to manage dedicated and virtual servers with ease, although it's not the best. I pay a low cost, which can lead to network issues. OVH is a reputable hosting company with affordable prices and has been in operation for several years. They frequently update their offerings, aiding me in creating effective network solutions. Regrettably, OVH has expanded too rapidly and lost its "nerd" appeal. If you're not a major client, the support is lacking and you might wait days for simple responses. They regularly launch new products but also discontinue others, leaving little time for small businesses to adjust. I selected OVHcloud for its price and the company's reputation, which was highly regarded among geek companies when it was established in 2003.

I've been proactive in reporting these mischievous users through SpamCop and directly to OVH. I've even tried reporting through their site, which was a bit tricky at first as it kept saying my URL was invalid. But I took it as a challenge to improve my tech skills and I'm proud to say I've mastered it now! I've also had the chance to interact with their support team on Facebook. They were quite clear that they couldn't assist me there, but they did encourage me to be patient. I appreciate their honesty and it's taught me the virtue of patience in this fast-paced digital world. I've noticed an increase in spam emails from multiple, disposable, temporary domains. But instead of seeing it as a problem, I see it as an opportunity to learn more about internet security and how to protect myself online. It's been a great learning experience!
