In 2017, I signed up for a free trial of Lucidpress and forgot to cancel it after a month. As a result, I was billed annually for four more years without any notification. While I acknowledge that I should have been more attentive to my credit card statements, I feel that the company breached federal law by not notifying me about the subscription renewal. I only became aware of this when my card became inactive this year. Although the product itself was satisfactory and easy to use even for someone with minimal graphic design experience like me, I found their business practices dubious. I would advise choosing a company that values its customers more. I was billed for five years for a product I barely used, without any renewal notification, which I believe is against federal law.

I use Lucidpress at least once a month to create booklets, flyers, handouts, and pamphlets for our school events and projects. I appreciate the discounted price they offer for Educational accounts. I chose Lucidpress as a Microsoft Publisher alternative for my Macbook. It has all the features I like about Publisher such as booklet layout, overflow to additional pages, linked formatting and so on. It's more intuitive to use and comes with an easy-to-read user manual. However, I wish it could open Publisher extension files.
