Selecting Dayforce: A Smart Choice?
Overall, Dayforce has been able to meet my needs and the support team is always available when I have questions. My TAM has made the transition to Dayforce smooth and turned my daily issues into learning and resolving opportunities instead of frustrations. Dayforce is the closest I could find to a one-stop solution that still meets my needs. Having so much data in one place allows for powerful reporting. However, I wish Dayforce had an internal ability to electronically sign documents, as it would make setting up and maintaining onboarding documents much easier. I switched to Dayforce HCM because I was a previous Ceridian Source customer who left due to ACA needs, but was unhappy with the support at ADP and was happy to return to Dayforce.

Effortless Payroll Processing with Ceridian Dayforce
I appreciate Dayforce HCM for its aesthetic and uncluttered interface. It provides efficient and instant payroll processing and is constantly improving with new features. This software has eliminated many of our company's manual processes, streamlining our human resources, payroll, benefits, time tracking, recruiting, and onboarding processes. This has boosted our productivity, profitability, and morale. Initially, I was not a fan of the reporting as it was all in PDF format and lacked flexibility. However, they have made significant improvements in this area over the past three years. The V2 reporting now allows for more customization. Since we switched to Dayforce HCM, we no longer need paper records. Our employees now have full access to their own data and time through the portal and app.

Endless Frustration & Deep Disappointment with Dayforce
I have not found a single thing to like about Dayforce. Since the start of our implementation process, we have been dealing with constant issues. We encountered problems with incorrect system configuration, including confidential data being accessible to lower level employees. Dayforce support staff informed us that our system was not set up correctly. Our implementation manager did not properly address our concerns, leaving us with many unresolved issues and unanswered questions. Despite scheduled follow-up meetings, the manager consistently failed to show up. After weeks of unanswered emails and unsuccessful attempts to solve problems, our implementation manager told us she needed permission to bill us for more hours, which was why she hadn't been communicating with us. Seven months after implementation, our benefits file feeds are still incomplete. Despite our immediate request after implementation, this vital part of our system is still not fully functional. The ongoing issues greatly impede our productivity, particularly with our complex payroll setup. Dayforce's payroll segment has demonstrated a lack of accountability, especially in their response to our 401(k).

Dayforce HCM is a robust platform that fulfills all our requirements, such as payroll, tax computations, workforce management, time tracking, and document management. It also integrates seamlessly with other software platforms and applications, including ERPs. However, the implementation process was more demanding than we expected, both financially and in terms of manpower. Consequently, we had to prolong our timeline from kick-off to go-live multiple times. The implementation ended up costing double our budget and took six months longer than planned. We selected Dayforce HCM for its price and projected implementation timeline.

I've been impressed with their recent updates and am excited to see what they'll introduce next. We use Dayforce HCM for new hire processing and health insurance enrollment. Our company operates three different payrolls for different types of employees - Union, Exempt, and Non-Exempt, each with a unique Employee Number. The software merges these two aspects into one comprehensive system for reporting. However, I have to use the Text to Columns function in Excel to separate them correctly. It would be fantastic if they could be separated directly within the software. We switched to Dayforce HCM because it serves as our primary HRIS, functioning as both our ATS and our performance and rewards management system. It's user-friendly and highly adaptable to our diverse needs.

I appreciate Dayforce's continuous calculation options and its ability to handle large payroll batches. It's a relief to be able to provide timely salary spending reports to upper management. I also value the helpful staff and customer service at Ceridian. It's evident that they've considered the full scope of the employee experience, as demonstrated by the cohesiveness of their many modules. The interaction between these modules is a bonus. However, I wish I had been given more information or warning about the actual implementation process. It was challenging and I felt unprepared with the resources I had. If I had known it was going to be so tough, I would have made more effort to prepare. I switched to Dayforce HCM because it consolidates all of my important work in one place, saving me a lot of time. Everything I need is easy to find and I don't even need help to get started.
