      Varied Impressions, Limited Feature Exploration

      I found VisiLean to be highly visual, making it excellent for conducting virtual team meetings. I also valued its mobile capabilities for updates and the ability for the entire team to modify tasks. However, we didn't fully utilize this feature as the Scottish water team was not keen on using it. The support from the VisiLean team was exceptional, always seeming eager to go the extra mile. We didn't attempt to integrate the software with P6 as CWA didn't want us to, which I feel was a missed opportunity. I'm aware that an update has been made allowing programs to shift backwards to the left, a feature I previously found frustrating, so I'm glad to see it's been resolved. The VisiLean team responded to my feedback in July 2021, expressing their gratitude and dedication to continually improving the solution for users.

      My experience with VisiLean has been incredible. It's an excellent tool for managing complex projects with numerous packages and large teams. VisiLean effectively outlines activity-wise responsibility and its tracking is top-notch. The reporting, documenting, and delay analysis strategy is a lifesaver when a project fails and time extensions are needed. The software is easy to access and understand, unlike Primavera. Even a foreman level employee can update from the mobile app. It allows for individual responsibilities to be documented with proper roles, and both team and individual targets can be achieved. The 4D simulation model update is very beneficial as it integrates with BIM. However, it doesn't schedule the project up to forecast completion if any activity is delayed, it only reflects the weekly delay. I chose VisiLean because it's the first Lean construction software I've used. The VisiLean team responded to my feedback, expressing their delight at how useful the system has been for me. They are working on it.

      I recently started using VisiLean and have been tailoring it to Mace's specific needs. I find the system excellent. Over the past week, we've been training our suppliers on its use and their positive response has been surprisingly good, with very few questions. Each task or program reference has its own section for readiness and training requirements. It's easy to alert others about issues and planned activities, identify resources and materials, and provide real-time reporting. This allows me to frequently update on both PC and app, reducing the number of emails being sent. There's also a section for design tasks where I can notify the designer or team about design requirements or the release of the final design. Currently, I find it extremely useful, although there may be a need for some minor changes in the future. I chose VisiLean because it integrates with BIM and Revit. I decided to switch to VisiLean after visiting another project in Ireland and seeing the product in action.

I can closely oversee high-level objectives, while the site team, despite a decentralized approach, now has a unified direction. VisiLean has also enhanced our communication. We've transitioned from unsustainable communication tools like WhatsApp to VisiLean's communication tool. I can log all issues and track all information and data easily. The software provides better real-time visuals. Reports can be quickly generated through the Mobile App Dashboard, allowing everyone registered in the application to quickly understand the project's health. We've also minimized printed reports. Despite VisiLean's advanced planning and management capabilities, there are some limitations in its current version that prevent it from reaching its full potential. I believe that the super user should.

If used proactively by the site team, we can ensure all planned works are completed on time. One of the standout features of VisiLean is the mobile access, which allows engineers to update the progress of activities live on their mobile while onsite. This makes it easier for everyone executing works onsite to update their daily activities, rather than waiting to return to their offices to update progress. However, there are some areas for improvement.
