      As a subscription-based e-commerce company, I use Textedly to notify users when their credit card has expired so they can update their payment method. I find Textedly to be one of the most economical texting platforms and I appreciate that customers can join our text message lists by texting us, which is particularly useful during presentations or conventions. However, I'm not a fan of the assigned phone number format, like "555-222", as customers tend to ignore such corporate-looking numbers. Also, it's quite challenging to text customers individually as the platform is designed for mass texts. Lastly, I'm disappointed that there's no feature to add unique elements into the text, like personalizing with the individual's name, as you can in email marketing.

You can also schedule messages for later. There is a monthly surcharge in addition to the annual fee, which I wasn't aware of, but despite this, I would highly recommend this solution for any business.

      Two Stars for Limited Customer Flexibility

      I appreciate Textedly's affordable pricing and impressive delivery rate, but I find it unsuitable for businesses that send SMS to new and updated customer lists each month. My issue is that I have to pay for keywords that I won't use in the following month. According to Textedly, if I remove a subscriber from a keyword, I can't resubscribe them, even if I create a new keyword. They also advise against deleting keywords as it deletes all message data, which could be problematic in case of a Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) legal issue. I don't understand why I should pay for keywords I won't use in the future. I also find the platform not user-friendly and often have to contact customer service for technical issues or questions that aren't addressed in the QA section. I switched to Textedly because the delivery rate of EZ Texting dropped to 50%, resulting in half of my messages bouncing back. It's disappointing as I had.
