It's an outstanding online tool that has assisted us in identifying the best candidates for various job opportunities through online assessments. I value the broad range of assessment tests available to select from, including common ones like Microsoft Excel, problem-solving tests, numerical reasoning tests, and personality tests. The interface is user-friendly and straightforward to navigate, requiring only a short tutorial to comprehend. As the owner of the assessments, I can try out premium assessments before giving them to potential candidates, only needing to pay when I want to share the test. One of my favorite features of TestGorilla is the anti-cheating measures they've implemented, such as full-screen mode and webcam recording. However, I do find TestGorilla to be somewhat expensive for small companies, and I wish they could add more tests to their database.

I've been looking for a tool to easily send assessments to job applicants during the recruitment process and I found TestGorilla. I appreciate its simplicity and the ability to create an assessment in minutes. The system sends an email to applicants and walks them through the process. The interface is clean and clear, with safeguards to prevent others from completing the assessment for the candidates. I like that all the major personality tests are available on the free version, along with several skill-based assessments. I've been using the free version, which is great despite some limitations. The personality assessments are useful, although I'm starting to question their validity as most respondents seem to get the same result. I'm not sure if this is due to the similar nature of the roles I'm using them for, or something else. I chose TestGorilla because it offers a free option.

I found it amazing how the questions were presented in TestGorilla, as it provided me with more insights to improve my skills. However, I experienced some issues with the server's speed in loading the questions. I also believe it would be beneficial if the results of the assessments were immediately shared after completion, allowing us to know whether we passed or failed. I suggest that the results of the assessments should be sent to our individual emails.

Caution with the Fine Gray Print!
In my view, TestGorilla's policy of enforcing a one-year subscription in monthly installments is deliberately deceptive. I think it's essentially a scam. Although the tests are not awful, I feel they could improve given the cost. The pricing was not transparent at checkout and I ended up with a one-year subscription that I couldn't cancel. I got a reply from the vendor, who thanked me for my review and apologized for my bad experience. They suggested that I contact their Customer Success team for help and asked for more feedback on my experience with their pricing. They stated that they value my experience and it will help them to improve. They are eager to hear from me.

However, I wish it could be integrated with an ATS to automate most of the steps. At present, its integration with India-specific job boards or ATS is limited. In response to my feedback, the vendor suggested exploring their API for more integration options and expressed their delight that I found TestGorilla useful in our hiring process. They welcomed me to the TestGorilla community. This interaction took place in January 2023.
