      Sawyer: The Essential Software for Summer Camps and Classes

      As a novice in teaching summer camps and children's classes, I am grateful for finding Sawyer. It enables me to showcase my brand professionally and is cost-effective. The software is user-friendly with a minimal learning curve. When I initiated a summer camp for kids, Sawyer simplified the process by providing all the necessary features, even those I hadn't thought of. They continue to introduce more features, especially during the pandemic when businesses had to shift to online classes. The onboarding process was uncomplicated. Both the front-end and back-end interfaces are modern and similar to Apple's design, making it easy for me and the users. Other software I tried were outdated and cumbersome. Their customer service is very supportive. I've been using the software for nearly two summers now and I can't think of anything I dislike. I do wish I could embed my Registration page on my website myself, but Sawyer does it swiftly so it's not a significant issue. I chose Sawyer for its ease of use, Apple-like.

      Terra Arts Experiences Elation with Sawyer!

      I wish Sawyer had a phone feature! Our customers have unique needs that have been difficult for our bookkeeper to handle. Even our CPA or QuickBooks expert couldn't fulfill our needs. Our customers usually sign up with a non-refundable deposit about six months before classes begin and we typically sell out within a few weeks of opening registration. Some customers pay with a monthly purchase order after the class has started, while others prefer to be billed monthly on their credit card. This has been a nightmare for us as no bookkeeping system has been able to automate it, provide a roll sheet, maintain a database, bill the customer, send statements and receipts, or give us a list of accounts receivable. However, we are delighted with Sawyer! It looks fantastic on our website and our customers think we've improved. We love the financial reports and we haven't even fully explored its capabilities yet! One thing we needed but haven't been able to implement is selling tickets for our theater performances.

      The customer service at Sawyer has been outstanding from my first phone call. They helped me set everything up and always answer my questions quickly. I need a simple, uncomplicated scheduling system, but most importantly, I want it to be easy for my students' parents to book a class. I'm not very tech-savvy, but I found the setup process on Sawyer to be very straightforward. I've used other scheduling systems before and I'm so glad I chose Sawyer. The only minor issue I have is that when I upload a picture for a listing, it often takes a few tries to get it right as it tends to reposition. However, I usually get it right after a few attempts. I chose Sawyer because it's designed with children in mind. I love how it looks and I think it's a fantastic scheduling system.

      I truly believe that our programs consistently sell out and have waitlists due to Sawyer's user-friendly nature for our parents. It saves both them and our staff a significant amount of time that was previously wasted on a cumbersome and inaccurate registration system with terrible tech support. The tech support from Sawyer is unparalleled. Whenever we face a problem, we usually get a response from a real person within an hour, often directly from our account manager. They also value user feedback to continuously improve the software. My only real complaint is that it doesn't integrate with Quickbooks, causing some additional accounting issues. However, it's still a huge improvement over the previous registration software we used. We switched to Sawyer because WooCommerce's tech support was the worst, it consistently gave us inaccurate enrollment counts, and they made a mistake that cost our small non-profit nearly $1000 and refused to take responsibility for it.

I transitioned to Sawyer as our youth theatre has year-round programming and we are almost always in active registration. We used to use multiple services to manage our registration system, which was time-consuming and inefficient. Sawyer consolidates everything we need, such as signup forms, printable rosters, check-in/checkout, custom discount codes, and various payment options for our users, with everything we desire, like ease of use, user-accounts for our families, and a built-in messaging system. Once you master how to set up classes and navigate Sawyer, it feels like a dream come true. It might sound dramatic, but it's been a game-changer for our organization.

      I find Sawyer incredibly easy to use for both parents and teachers. It enables us to contact a parent easily by just pulling up the roster. The children's names are alphabetically organized by their first name, which is very useful for class attendance. I appreciate all its features, but I would suggest adding a check-in app that instructors can easily access on their phones. I would also recommend reformatting the printable roster so that it fits on one or two pages instead of seven to eight. I chose Sawyer because their team was very persistent in reaching out to me. After a tour of the software, I was convinced. I didn't realize scheduling could be so simple. I switched to Sawyer because the previous systems I used didn't have the functionality I needed. We were picking up kids from different schools and those systems couldn't manage not overfilling a bus.

      I find the design of the Sawyer software extremely appealing and believe it's one of the best for attracting customers in its market. However, it's missing several features like an app, the ability to merge duplicate customers, phone look up, and a teachers payroll report. I find their email customer service confusing and the editing schedule inflexible. There's also an issue with clients appearing for the entire semester even if they join halfway through. Despite these problems, I still believe in the potential of this company. The software doesn't recognize appointments, semesters, and membership reconciling with each other and I think there should be options to charge registration fees. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of their app, which I believe will greatly improve the software. However, Sawyer doesn't currently meet all my needs, particularly in terms of payroll, reconciling payments, and scheduling past appointments. I do appreciate the vendor's responsiveness and their willingness to make improvements based on feedback.

      Excellent Registration Tool with Sawyer!

      I am extremely impressed with how Sawyer continually adds new features and options. The customer service I've received, especially from Isabelle and the rest of the team, is excellent. I appreciate having all my services in one place, which makes registration easy for both my customers and me. I also like the ability to create a service once and then simply copy and paste it into my schedule, making customization very straightforward. However, navigating Sawyer Tools can sometimes be challenging. It would be beneficial to have a drop-down menu for accessing other pages without having to return to the main menu each time. Additionally, the ability to add a quantity option for adult events and classes would be very helpful.
