I've been using MangoApps for collaborative work across multiple offices on specific projects. It has greatly improved our communication and reduced our email usage, giving us better control over our company narrative. The filing system is easy to understand, leading to quicker adoption of the software. It's intuitive and accessible to everyone, not just those who are tech-savvy. The overall layout and user experience seem well-designed. Additionally, everyone enjoys the levels and badges feature. However, I've encountered some customization issues, especially with templates for posts and wikis. I wish we could edit the ranking of wikis after they've been published. Sometimes, we have to delete a wiki because we later realize it should be in a different group or category. I also wish multiple people could collaborate on a draft before it's published. At the moment, we publish in a closed group and take turns editing it there. Furthermore, a more efficient tagging system for photos and files with more built-in controls would be beneficial.

MangoAlerts: Out of Sight, Out of Mind
I can't really say there's anything essential about MangoApps. I only use it at my office and often forget to use it on my phone as everyone just texts. My app doesn't visually alert me when I have messages. I realized my volume was too low to hear the audible alert, so I guess that's fine. The font in the messages is tiny. Since we have a fiber optic line, email is so fast that I'm not sure why we need MangoApps. Most messages are impossible to delete. The vendor responded to my review, thanked me for my feedback and suggested I contact their support to resolve the issues I mentioned. They replied in April 2019.

Enjoying MangoApps: User-Friendly with Fun Features
I'm generally pleased with the MangoApps application. It's user-friendly for instant messaging and has some enjoyable features. I'm still getting to grips with some of the more intricate parts of the app. The IM system is easy to handle and fun, and the app has numerous excellent features that I'm still trying to fully exploit. At times, it seems like there are redundant steps to clear all notifications. I also find it difficult to find the right section for personalization and managing certain user aspects.

I use MangoApps as a knowledge repository and project management system. It lets me create individual projects with message feeds, tasks, wikis, and file storage. I use the system's wikis and file folders as knowledge repositories, and everything is easily searchable. The desktop app provides live chat functionality, and I can even send emails from external systems like Outlook directly to projects. However, while managing tasks within a project is easy, there's no simple way to track tasks across all projects. I can sort tasks by status, but there's no overall "not yet finished" sorting to capture all live tasks. Also, I can't create a report from this view, only within projects, which adds extra work. Unfortunately, the software lacks Gantt chart capability. I shared these concerns with the vendor in December 2018, and they were receptive and promised to relay my feedback to their product teams.

Excellent Off-The-Shelf System
The tech support and developers at MangoApps are incredibly responsive and helpful, particularly for those of us who aren't tech-savvy. The time it takes to design and develop site pages is greatly reduced by using their templates, as opposed to building a website from scratch. Mango Social Intranet also integrates with many web apps that I already use, so there's no need to immediately switch from the products my company is accustomed to. There were some features I wanted that weren't initially available. However, for simpler requests, the developers provided me with a piece of code to use whenever I wanted that feature. I was pleasantly surprised by this level of service. More complex requests were made available in later product releases. The branding package offered by Mango is somewhat minimal, but if you have a web designer on staff, they can apply a custom CSS to enhance your site's appearance. I appreciate the time taken by MangoApps to respond to my review and am glad to have had positive experiences with their support.
