Never Developing Another Backoffice Again
I find Forest Admin extremely user-friendly as it quickly scans your database and is ready for use. Although some features are still lacking, Forest's public roadmap allows you to vote for the next features you need. The vendor responded positively, expressing satisfaction in seeing customers convinced that they won't need to develop an admin panel again after using Forest Admin. Outstanding Dashboard for Mongoose Users
I find Forest Admin to be an excellent tool, although some aspects of the layout design can be difficult to learn. Once I got the hang of it, it became a very powerful dashboard. It's easy to plug-in and is especially useful for non-programmers on my team who struggle with alternative solutions like robo3t. However, the Smart Views require knowledge in Ember, which is not a common platform. My team and I would prefer something like React in the future. We've also noticed that pre-save mongoose hooks are ignored by Forest Admin's "save" operations. I think there should be an option to download and save layouts, possibly as JSON files, and configure the dashboard to automatically load the layout on reboot. This would be helpful when releasing a staging version to production, as the production layout would update automatically. The vendor responded to my review, expressing their aim to empower non-programmers and their plans to support React as a platform soon. They also requested my feedback, which I found valuable.

Forest Admin: An Essential Tool for Every New Software Project
I've been using Forest Admin as my preferred software for providing a fully functional back-office to our operations team. Since discovering it three years ago, I've used it for every new software project, even during its early development stages. Our operations team at Briq uses it daily to handle queries and resolve customer issues. I've found the support team at Forest to be incredibly responsive, constantly improving the product based on customer feedback. Unlike a custom coded admin interface, Forest Admin allows us to provide a great experience to our operations team without investing too many resources. Plus, our admin interface improves over time while our developers can focus on customer-facing improvements. Forest is highly customizable, allowing us to achieve almost anything by coding a custom Smart Action/View/Collection. However, I would appreciate if they could add bulk editing capabilities out of the box. The alternative to using Forest Admin would be to develop our own back-office functionalities, which would be costly and require ongoing maintenance. For me, choosing Forest is a no-brainer.

Engineer's Delight!
My experience with Forest Admin has been exceptional. I began exploring it as a potential solution for my company about a year ago and received quick responses to all my inquiries. I even had the chance to discuss technical details directly with a Forest engineer over a phone call. The software is very plug and play. We use a Postgres DB and encountered no problems setting up our development and production environments. A CMS that would have taken us months to build was ready in minutes! However, another team in my company was unable to use this software as their DB instances were spread across different AWS regions and Forest Admin couldn't support that DB architecture. We chose Forest Admin for its ease of plug & play and the flexibility of Smart Actions and Smart Views. The vendor was very responsive and we appreciate their dedication to providing top-tier support to maximize our input in a short period of time.
